The coil is on the bottom of the machine. If you go to searspartsdirect.com and put in the model number it will show a diagram of where the coil is on the parts picture. This will give you a good idea of what you need to do. Hope this helps.

Monching, You will have to hope there is not too much damage done already from running straight Gas. Empty all straight gas from blowers tank and refill with proper minimum 50:1 gas oil mix. Start blower and run on 1/2 throttle for a few minutes to be sure its going to be OK. If seized, you will have to try and unseize and if lucky it may run if not too much damage internally. You should run a heavier oil to gas mix 32 or 40:1 in an engine that's been seized. Check the attached links, instruction and guides, Good luck

Remove allways the exhaust (mufler) and look on that side to your piston if its all worth for a repair. make this control allways by a parts-order because of the dissapointment if you after the repair also not anymore have a good compression also because the piston/cilinder combination is by cheap budget tools the most expensive part of your tool if it has grooves then better to buy a new blower in this case , most choice if it was a cheap purchase but if its look smooth replace first the sparkplug and there is also no spark to see , order a new ignition coil , but if you will order a new coil thats not enough because don,t forget to give up the serialnumber because of the build date year model of the blower. that can have been modified in some instances. if you know someone who smoked ask for a part of the cover of his or her cigarette rolling papers that gives oft the right gap between flywheel-magnet and ignition coil if you are adjusting the ignition coil to the magnet of the flywheel.
Control allways also the earthwire before order the coil so that you know forshure that the earth wire to the stop button is not damaged and to slightly against the masses. that it was the cause of no spark. but thats normal the last option and a very little change .

check age of gas. Cannot be more than 30 days old.
Make sure to use fresh gas w/synthetic 2-cycle oil @ 40:1 ratio (1 gal.) Gas to 3.2 oz. Oil).Do not use old or stale oil/gas mixture. Always use the proper oil/gas mix. If you do not, your engine will suffer rapid, permanent damage.

Look at the housing where the spring should lay. There is a small shaped bend on the housing. This is where the bend of the spring should sit. Remove any tape on the spring before placing in unit. DANGER: Be careful not to move spring too much after removing and tape. It might unwind and fly into your face.
