Miele CatAndDog700 Bagged Canister Vacuum Questions & Answers
Blows hepa filter from mounting
I have seen generic filters do this. Be sure to use original Miele filters. The generics are a few dollars cheaper to buy but you end up with an inferior quality filter that could cause other problems by continued use. same is true with bags.A clogged filter may also do this. Miele vacuums are very tightly sealed, the exhaust air has to come out. If the filter is clogged, the pressure could pop the filter out, HEPA filters are suggested to change out about every 50 hours, for most people this is between 1 - 1.5 years. We had a Miele come in for service the other day with the same complaint, installed filter was a generic, customer said it was a new filter just installed. We replaced with an original filter and problem ceased. If you need any help feel free to contact me.Tim

My Miele cat & dog
Will it power up without the hose attached? If it does then you have a clogged hose. If not, there is a circuit board by the motor that may be bad.

Stopped working - warning light on
There is an electronic circuit board on the motor that may have gone bad and will have to replaced, part # 06836740 and sells for around $75.00, for model S516. But if this a S316, then it could be the speed control mounted on the motor, Part # 04416342 and sells for around $83.00. Both of these models are Cat Naad Dog so you need the model number berfore you order a part.

Can I fit in both filters?
Yes they can be used together, and they would fit in the same slot if there is room.

Miele Vacuum SEB 234/236 Roller Brush Issue
If the roller brush of your Miele vacuum SEB 234/236 only spins when you manually hold down the switch, it indicates that there is a problem with the electronic circuit or mechanical parts responsible for engaging the brush. This could be caused by a faulty connection, a broken wire, or a malfunctioning switch. It's recommended to have the vacuum serviced by a professional to diagnose and fix the issue.

My Miele C3 cat/dog won't adjust off of the min power setting. 6 years old, out of warranty, light use.
It sounds like there may be an issue with the power control system on your Miele C3 cat/dog vacuum. Here are some troubleshooting steps you can try:
- Check the power control switch: Make sure that the power control switch is functioning properly and that it is able to move freely through all of the power settings. If the switch is stuck or damaged, it may be causing the vacuum to remain on the minimum power setting.
- Check for debris in the power control system: Debris can sometimes accumulate in the power control system and cause it to malfunction. To check for debris, turn off the vacuum and unplug it from the electrical outlet. Locate the power control system and use a small brush or compressed air to carefully clean it.
- Check for a clog in the hose or suction path: A clog in the hose or suction path can cause the vacuum to lose suction and remain on the minimum power setting. To check for a clog, remove the hose and use a flashlight to look for any blockages. If you find a clog, use a broom handle or similar object to carefully remove it.
If these troubleshooting steps do not resolve the issue, it is possible that there is a problem with the power control system or another internal component of the vacuum. In this case, it may be necessary to have the vacuum repaired or serviced by a professional.
