check the media lever ..it must be lowered if you inserted media /in our case the media button have to be pushed to indicate roll media..The media led flashes also when the media is not aligned proper..In this case you have to take it out ..by lowering the media lever ..and raising the metal guard.. take it out and insert it again ...

check the catridges thier must be a mixing up of color when you were refilling the catridges

The dates are on the package for a reason. The ink dries out or changes viscosity over time and will likely clog the printhead. My advice is not to stock up on cartridges because of this problem. If you look online, you can find replacement chips or instructions on how to reset the chip on the cartridge.
