is printer driver installes if so go into control panel and check that the 920c is selected as active printer...

I have a HP697c and sometimes it grabs more than one sheet and gets jammed. I take hold of the trailing edge and pull hard and slowly till it comes back out. Then I remove and straighten the feed pile and try again.

i think your color ink cartridge is near to empty that's why you are experiencing a pause printing..

I had this problem using an intel imac. I updated the print driver from the HP website and the problem was immediately resolved.

you have not mentioned that what is the printer you are using. any way you should find a sub paper tray near to the main tray, with different types of envelops, marked/engraved on it. some time the same tray is used for this purpose and have the small paper or envelops info on it.
pls mention the printer model if you dont find the tray yet.

You didn't mention installing the 920c on your computer. You should have received an HP Deskjet 920c series printer software CD which installs the printer on your computer. You may need to check the HP web site to see if your computer is equipped with the appropriate driver. The 920c is an older HP printer. One of my printers is a 920c and I had no problem installing it a computer with Windows XP.

try to pull them either side and see which side moves more easily. also try to rotate the paper roll with hand while pulling the paper.

open its covers and confirm that there is no piece of paper stucked some where.

remove the cartridges and re-insert them firmly.

your printer is not detecting the cartridge, see the pins/connections where the cartridge gets contact, if these are conteminated, clean them. also make sure that you intalled the cartridge after removing its protection seal.

Just check that there is no paper trapped in the printer, you can normally get access at the back, other than that sounds like its worth uninstalling your printer driver and re-installing it, as sometimes the carrier grinds as if the paper settings or drivers are incorrect. Make sure it's the drivers you got with the printer and not the generic windows drivers that sometimes take over when updating windows automatically. Maybe your printer has finally give up and the circuitry is faulty. Hope this helps

You have to take off the clear strip of plastic over the copper area, or the printer will not detect it. There should be a green pull-tab on the cartridge.

You can get this in local service center hp 920c printer socket.

I don't have a solution, I need on. Paper jam and cannot get it out.

Sounds like u have broken paper kicker arms (should be 3 of them that eject paper after printing). If you print a single page job...no problems. If you can find the paper kicker arm assembly the repair is relatively simple...that is if you know how to take the covers off of your machine.
