Printer prints mumble jumble page after page and

Try to print a test page from the the control panel (in Windows). If it is bad, then delete the printer and it's driver in the control panel, then reinstall as a new printer. If you still have problems, then there is probably a logic problem within the printer itself. At that point, it is probably cheaper to replace the printer with a new model.

Resume button will not stop flashing.

The HP series of printers you have can be finiky when cartridges are swapped. Use an old toothbrush to very gently clean the contacts behind both ink cartridges. Carefully wipe off the contact strip on the back of each cartridge. repeat this till the cartridges are properly detected. close the lid after each attempt!

Black ink won't print

Read on and see if any applies to you.
Check that you removed the protective tape. some cartridges have two of these pieces of tape one over the head and possibly on on the contacts to the printer.

If you recently re-filled or had the cartridge refilled or even bought one of the many cheaper replacement cartridges you should read on

Most modern cartridges have an ink level chip built on to them.
Should the level drop below 25% then most of these chips lock up and will not reset.

Re-filling them will have no effect

If you are lucky you should be able to find either a
chip resetter around on the INTERNET or maybe even local

OR

Even better empty cartridges that
never need to be reset.
The second option is my preference

I realise these are not for your specific printer but there are others listed on both those sites as well.

cheaper cartridge problems have been on the rise recently and that is for ALL makes of printer.
If you try to clean the contacts be VERY careful cleaning contacts and ONLY use isopropynol on a lint free bud or cloth.
Also be very gentle.

I have seen the contacts cleaned and cartridges ruined with other methods of cleaning.
Rubbing too hard can also cause a badly set chip to move making it inoprable.

I dont like full prices replacements either which is why I always provide the links
I usually reccomend that people take back any cartridge that does not work right from the get-go.

I dont know of anyone who has had a problem doing that be it a shop refill or otherwise.

No matter if I paid $1 or $100 for a cartrdige I would still expect it to work

You need to adjust the banner switch:

No more colours...

Have you verified that the cartridges indeed do work in color? You can print a self-test by holding in the feed button for about five seconds until the printer begins activity. Are you using remanufactured cartridges? If you are, I would strongly recommend only using HP factory ones.

Printer stopped printing, all lights flashing

Sounds like a bad cartridge. 45's, 15's 23's & 78's seem to do that. Replace the cartridge, but try wiping the copper strips on the cartridge and where they fit into the printer as well with some alcohol on a paper towel. if , not, put the old ones back in. if it still does it, it might be simply dying.

Can you get to the pick up roller? is it putting out paper at all? Clean the roller with a cotton swab and rubbing or denatured alcohol. Sometimes paper dust will build up on the roller and it cant grab the paper. All check and see that the roller is trying to turn. RUle out mechanical failure.

States out of paper but does have paper In HP deskjet 895CXi printer

Solution
Step one: Reset the product
  1. Without turning the product off, remove the power cord from the back of the product.
  2. Wait 30 seconds and then plug the power cord into the back of the product.
Step two: Check the condition of the paper and reload it
  1. Replace any paper that is ripped, dusty, curled, wrinkled, or bent. NOTE: Use only plain, white, unused paper in the product until the issue is resolved.
  2. Tap the stack of paper on a flat surface to align the edges.
  3. Make sure that the stack of paper to be loaded in the product contains no fewer than 10 and no more than 25 sheets of paper. NOTE: Do not load too much paper in the product.
  4. Insert the stack of paper into the product and gently push the paper guides snugly against the paper. Make sure that the paper is completely inserted into the product and can be picked up by the paper rollers.
  5. Try printing again. If the issue is not resolved, try loading different brands of paper and different types of paper, one type at a time, into the product and then try printing again. If the issue persists, continue with the next step.
Step three: Adjust the paper settings in the print driverThe paper settings in the print driver must match the paper settings for at least one of the installed paper trays.
  1. Open a document in the program being used to print.
  2. Click File , click Print , and then click Properties . The product Properties dialog box appears.
  3. Click the Paper/Quality tab.
  4. Choose the appropriate paper size from the Size is drop-down menu.
  5. Choose the appropriate paper type from the Type is drop-down menu.
  6. Click OK and then click OK again to print the document..
  7. If the issue is not resolved, continue with the next step.
NOTE: If the issue is resolved and it is necessary to print on another type of paper, load the new paper type into the product and then repeat steps 2 through 7 for the new paper. These changes do not change the default print settings. The print settings return to the default the next time the program is opened. Step four: Clean the rollers
  1. Turn off the product and unplug the power cord.
  2. Open the access door to gain access to the rollers. Depending on the model, this is usually the rear access door. See the product user guide for information about locating the rollers.
  3. Clean the rubber rollers with a lint-free cloth, lightly moistened with water. NOTE: Distilled, filtered, or bottled water is recommended for cleaning the rollers. Tap water might contain contaminants that can damage the rollers.
  4. Make sure that any paper rollers that rest on the input tray, which are located behind the back rollers, are cleaned. A clean cotton swab, lightly moistened with water, might be necessary to reach these rollers.
  5. Close the access door and plug in the power cord.

How to reset HP ink ADVANTAGE 3515 Printer

Hello. First of all I would like to wish everyone a Happy New Year! I recently bought a HP Deskjet Ink Advantage 3515 printer. The printer works fine (prints, scans and copies). There is only one problem with it. It returns me an error when I'm shutting it off. This happens very often but not always, it is kinda annoying. The error is displayed as: ERROR CODE 0X02B7C2ED SM_MODULE C (the error is also shown on the image). I tried to Google the problem but without effects. I don't know what could be the problem. Can someone help me please, because I have no idea what could be the issue. Thanks for any replays.
