"Paper Jam" message displays despite there being

Normal 0 false false false MicrosoftInternetExplorer4 /* Style Definitions */ table.MsoNormalTable {mso-style-name:"Table Normal"; mso-tstyle-rowband-size:0; mso-tstyle-colband-size:0; mso-style-noshow:yes; mso-style-parent:""; mso-padding-alt:0in 5.4pt 0in 5.4pt; mso-para-margin:0in; mso-para-margin-bottom:.0001pt; mso-pagination:widow-orphan; font-size:10.0pt; font-family:"Times New Roman"; mso-ansi-language:#0400; mso-fareast-language:#0400; mso-bidi-language:#0400;}

1. 1 Switch off the printer and disconnect the power supply. Allow any residual charge to fade away before putting your hands or metal tools inside the chassis.

2. Step 2 Pin down the exact location of the jam. The three hot spots for a jam are the paper tray, anywhere between the feed tray and the print carriage, or between the print carriage and the output tray.

3. Step 3 Take off the front paper tray if the sheet got stuck while it was still in the front area of the printer. If the sheet jammed here, you should be able to see most of the paper.

4. Step 4 Pull on the sheet with both hands and steady pressure. Do not tug as you might rip the paper, leaving a chunk of it deeper in the machine.

5. Step 5 Open the back panel to reach paper jammed between the feed tray area and the print carriage of the all-in-one printer. Carefully remove the jammed paper from the machine.

6. Step 6 Use the carriage access door to reach a jam further inside the all-in-one printer. You may need to move the print carriage out of your way to clear the jam.

7. Step 7 Return any access panels to their closed and locked positions. Plug your printer back in and flip the power switch.

No colour print

If your printer is printing but the colour part of the document comes out blank, it ordinarily implies that your colour cartridge is empty of ink or yur nozzles are blocked. to confirm it is not a case of blocked nozzles apply a folded tissue paper to the ink nuzzle and press firmly. If the tissue comes off well blotted with ink it means you still have a good amount of ink in it and the nozzle is not blocked. If not blotted or scantily blotted, it means ink is really low/empty or nozzle is blocked. To be very sure of this, place nuzzle in a plate/saucer with a bit water so that the nozzle is soaked. Leave for about 10 minutes. Then apply the tissue again. If still not well blotted it means ink is really low or empty. In the case of blocked nozzles, the procedure may be repeated over to get results. If no results change the colour cartridge.

I keep getting a "Scanner Failure" error message

This series of HP all-in-one units have a common problem that, over time, the exposure lamp. which is florescent, goes dim. The scanner looks for the right amount of light, and if it doesn't see it, it gives you the scanner failure. In some rare cases, you can dismantle and clean the mirrors and lens in the scanner, but most of the time it doesn't work.
There are no parts available for this unit.

Scanner light does not come

Hello.

I need to know more about the problem to provide assistance. What is the actual problem, are you unable to scan - do you get a error message about the scanner lamp/light, or does the scanner try to scan but the light just doesn't turn on and you get a black scan?

Started with out of colour ink - changed coluor

"Scanner failure" basically means buy a new machine. Once the scanner fails on an all-in-one it will refuse to do anything. Replacing or fixing the scanner will cost much more than buying a new machine.

PSC 750 All-in-one worked well

Did it just change on it's own one day? This usually indicates some type of hardware malfunction within the device, many times when the controller unit inside the printer starts to go bad it will do very odd unexplainable things like this. Many times I have seen it switch languages as well, but I believe there is more going on... Does it print just fine still? I would guess not, but if it does, then you may be able to switch it back to English and be fine, but I am betting it has much larger issues here.

Let me know and I can help for sure, do you think there is any way you changed it from English to another language? And does it still print just fine?

Thanks
Tim
