Scanner message "you need to run device software"

Sorry for the delay I have been out of town and busy with my main job. Follow the link to the HP web site, choose your OS and a list of available downloads will appear.http://h10025.www1.hp.com/ewfrf/wc/softwareCategory?product=390328&lc=en&cc=us&dlc=en&lang=en&cc=usClick on Driver- Product Installation Software, then chose the HP PSC Full Feature Software and Drives. Save the file to a known location on your computer (the desktop for example). The run the software. This should provide you with the full feature software (updated) that was shipped with the printer from HP.Hope this fixes your issue.

I get a vertical black

The first step is to clean the glass in the scanner tray with a mild cleaner. If that does not correct the line, then you could try a Duster spay can (CRC Duster or Ativa Cleaning Duster, etc.) to try to blow on the arm that moves under the glass. Be careful as the can should be used in short spurts or it will get very cold and stop spaying or freeze something in the machine.

If still no luck, try to see if this site will properly guide you:

Received error message 0X07d54dd6 &

You must be using HP94 95. Have you refill your cartridge at all? If you did, gentely wipe out the cartridge circuit part with Q-tip (with bit of alcohol). And wipe out the circuit part in the printer where cartridge goes in as well. And try back. Sometimes by having some dust or bit of ink make cartridge unreadable. If you used brand new, do same thing to cartridge circuit part. Otherwise, there got to be some circuit shot happen in printer. For your reference, HP 1610 is not a new model and has not cause major problem. Good practical and durability is good. If you would like to save money, try refill kit by "ROADINK". Not only they are easy, but also the printing quality is good. For your better understanding pls check out my youtube video.

And will see how easy ink refill can be done.

I want to reversa an

If you would like to reverse an image--by reverse, I assume you mean flip horizontally--then you will need an image editor.
GIMP 2.0 is a powerful editor that you can get much more use from with t-shirt making. Download GIMP, select your image, right click and select flip horizontally.
Additionally, some operating systems will allow you to right click the image and select "flip horizontally" or "reverse".

When I try printing from

I had the same problem on mu HP 1200 series all in one printer; I have two of the same printers.

I couldn't believe that the ink cartridge was the problem because BOTH cartridges, black and color were fairly new and giving good copy results;

Finally after taking the printer apart, checking transformer and gears, and cleaning up the cartridge faces... STILL the same problem;
I replaced the both black AND color cartridge with a brand new one, and it worked perfectly.
So now I am stuck with 2 cartridges, half-used, that the printer will not accept.
