HP d135

Clean the copper contacts of the ink cartridge and the printhead wih the cotton swab and then try. Moreover in the printer there is an option to clean the printheads and ink carts. Later ty to print the h/w test page from the printer, if it prints fine then in the computer, righth click the printer icon and left click properties,in the color settings check if there is an option print in grayscale ... if thatoption is checked then uncheck the option.. and then print the test apge from the computer. If while priting the h/w test page it does not print in color then either upgrade the printer or replace the printer as the contacts of the printer ink carts slot are corrupted.

Installing a new ink cartridge

After working with the copier for over an hour, my husbband discovered quite by accident where the ink cartridge was located. It is inside on the left hand side, above the try that holds paper, and is next to impossible to see. It pulls out to the middle of the tray, and the cartridge can then be changed. Thank you so much for you time.
Sincerely,
Becky LaCour

The fax machine your calling did not pick up. You can test the above by. Using your home phone or cell phone & call the fax number your trying to connect with. You'll know if it is a fax machine by the tone you hear.

Both the printer and the computer are machines and it solely depends upon the speed of the computer as to in how much time thye data is transmitted to the prinetr to print. Check the speed of the processor, RAM,USB port(if connected with usb cable), length of the usb cable /ethernet cable, distance of the router from the computer and the printer, size of the dcument/image.

    While receiving a fax

    Resolution for Lynne:
    1. Unplug the power cable from the pwer strip and open the front door of the printer and move the carriage(in which the ink carts are connected) from the left to right and then back again for 2-3 times.
    2. Plug in the pwer cabe and turn on the printer and print the h/w tets page.. if it prints fine, then try to, send and recieve a fax, If the carriage agains jams then replace the printer or serviec the printer.

    Resolution For Stuart:
    1. Th scrapping noise indicates that the ink carts are not inserted in the printer slot properly.
    2. Pull the ink carts out and then push them back in and mak sure the printer should be on .
    3. Clear the queue and then print the h/w test page, if prints fine then go ahead with fax.

    How to clean printheads

There are two things that you can do...
Clean printheads, because of ink buildup, or clean the heads and contacts because of debris buildup.
    1. Clean the printheads; this is done when there is streaking in the printout
      1. Press Menu
      2. Press 7 (Status Maintenance Menu)
      3. then 2 (Clean Printheads)
      4. Check print out. If it's still bad, then replace the printhead that's not working.
    2. Clean the ink cartridge contacts
      1. Using a clean lint-free cloth, distilled or filtered water (no tap water)
      2. Open the print-cartridge access door
      3. After cartridges are in center, unplug unit
      4. Remove the cartridges
      5. Examine contacts for debris buildup
      6. With damp cloth clean any debris buildup on cartridge or in cartridge bed
      7. Repeat for others
      8. Replace all and turn on printer
      9. Message will appear to Re-align heads, press enter to do this
