Cannot receive faxes

Faxes cannot be received but they can be sent Review the following information to determine why faxes are not being received.
  • Phone company services: Do you have any of the following telephone line services from your telephone company: Voice Mail, Privacy Block, Security Screen, Anonymous Call Rejection, or Privacy Manager? These phone services are meant to prevent unwanted calls, but they will aslo stop faxes. Contact your telephone company for their recommended solution for receiving faxes on the same line with these services.
  • If you wish to receive faxes automatically, verify that automatic answering is enabled on models that have an Auto Answer button, or that the Rings to Answer setting is set to a number equal to or larger than one for models that do not have an Auto Answer button. On models with an Answer Mode setting, it should be set to Fax, FaxTel, or AnswerMachine depending on your setup.
  • If you have a HP PSC 2200 or an Officejet 6100 that interrupts calls or will not receive faxes, download and install the HP Firmware update for these products.
    1. Click here to go to the Drivers and Support page .
    2. Type in your model number (HP PSC 2210xi for example).
    3. Click the search arrow to the right of the text entry box. You may be asked to select your product from a list of models.
    4. On the software download page, select your operating system version.
    5. Locate and select the firmware update.
    6. Follow the directions to download and install the update
  • If an answering machine is connected to the same line, fax reception problems can occur. These problems may be corrected by changing settings or phone line connections. For more information on using a TAM or distinctive ring service, go to Using the HP All-in-One and Fax Products with a Telephone Answering Machine (buu04072) (in English).
  • If you have a PBX phone system, or an ISDN or DSL modem connected to the line, there may be some phone line configuration problems. Fax machines are analog devices and cannot be used on a digital phone service such as those used in many businesses (PBX systems). Install an analog phone line for a fax machine. Refer to document Using an HP All-in-One or Fax Product on a PBX, ISDN, or DSL Phone System (buu50333) (in English) to learn how to correct these problems.
  • If the problem still exists, continue troubleshooting in the Faxes cannot be sent or received or the problem cannot be determined section of this document.

I canceled a print and from then on it will not print from comput

The queue is probably stuck, Try restarting the computer and the printer. turn both off and turn the printer on ones your computer is on.

you can check the print queue if it still doesn't print.
open up start -> control panel -> printers
find your way to printers and faxes or printers, depends on if the computer is xp or vista.

Right click on your printer and select open.
is there anything in the print queue? if there is then press PRinter, and Cancel all documents.
ones the stuck project is out of the way it should print normally.

if a project is still stuck in the queue.
press start and select run
OR hold down the windows key and press R
type in: services.msc
press ok or enter

In services find printer spooler. right click stop.

open the print queue again and make sure its empty, close it and open the queue again incase noting appears to have happened.

make sure its empty, cancel all documents again and so on.

one it is empty go back to services, right click on printer spooler and click start. close the window and try printing the project again.

I dont have the disk for it and i want to hook it up another way

Access http://support.hp.com and "download" the device-driver software for your specific HP printer.
Install that software, and connect your printer *after* being prompted.

Says Paper Jam But No Paper In It

Hi

Paper jams can be real or false. The unit may report a paper jam when there is not any jammed paper, however, the solution to a real paper jam or a false paper jam is the same. WARNING: Jammed paper must be removed using the rear access door and the power cord must be disconnected or a carriage jam or mechanical damage may occur. Do not remove jammed paper from the front of the unit.
  1. Turn off the HP product and turn it so the back of the unit faces you.
  2. Disconnect the power cord from the back of the all-in-one. The power cord must be disconnected to allow the paper feed rollers to turn freely.
  3. Locate and open the rear access door by pressing in on the left side tab and then pulling the door toward you. Figure 1: Removing the rear access door bd842f6.jpg
  4. Inspect the pressure rollers on the rear access door and verify that they are clean and turn freely. Clean the rollers if needed with a soft towel lightly moistened with water. If the rollers do not turn freely, replace the rear access door.
  5. Inspect the pressure rollers on the rear access door and verify that they are clean and turn freely. Clean the rollers if needed with a soft towel lightly moistened with water. If the rollers do not turn freely, replace the rear access door. Click How to buy on this page to order replacement parts.
  6. From the rear access door opening, remove the jammed paper.
  7. Remove the remaining paper from the paper supply tray. Discard any paper that is damaged or crumpled and then re-stack and reload the paper into the paper supply tray.
  8. Reinstall the rear access door.
  9. Reconnect the power cord to the unit and turn the unit on. If a carriage stall occurs after clearing the paper jam, resolve the carriage stall.
Preventing paper jams The following information will help prevent paper jams from occurring:
  • When loading paper in to the paper tray, push it in until it meets first resistance. Do not continue pushing the paper in. If the paper is pushed too far in, more than one page is picked and paper jams result. This is the most common cause of paper jams with the HP Officejet 410 series.
  • Never use paper that is wrinkled or damaged in any way.
  • If you are having problems using paper that has already been printed on once, replace it with fresh paper.
  • Remove and then reinstall the rear access door. Verify that the access door is fully locked in place. The paper can skew if the rear access door isn't locked.
  • Every six months - one year, clean the paper feed rollers with a rag slightly dampened with clean water. Over time the paper feed rollers accumulate dust and do not function as well as they once did.
  • When printing envelopes, tuck the flap into the envelope and crease the folds before printing.
Please do rate the solution as FixYa and revert for further assistance.

Thanks
Rylee

HP Officejet 4110 doesn't print

You very well could have messed up a sensor in the printer.
These days, printers are considered "throw-away" and normally there are not any parts available to repair them.

You won't find a manual. Even printer repair shops cannot get parts.

But before you consider all lost, you could try to get a new cartridge. Otherwise, get a new printer.

Officejet 4110 all in one printer driver for windows 98 (download

This printer was masde for win Xp.Their are no 98 drivers written for it. It never will work on win 98 sorry.
f your operating system is not listed, HP does not currently have software or driver downloads available for your product for that operating system, or they are not available in the language you have chosen. To look for a driver in another language, change the software/driver language by clicking the "Change your software/driver language:" link on this page to see what drivers are available for your operating system.

Can i print with only a black cartridge in place.

yeah there's two cartridges in most printers now, a "color" and a "black", if the color is out, just don't replace it and you can just use black if you want and never replace the color one, depends on what you print really... but remember, you shouldn't replace the color with a black, that wouldn't be a good thing, hope this helps :)
