Have you checked the zoom settings or magnification of the image/text you are viewing, in the document, before you choose print? I'd begin there...make sure it's at 100%
Otherwise, I'd recommend you run the HP print diagnostic utility and see if that turns something up. You can download it here, and search other HP support resources here. It's possible your printer drivers have become corrupted and you need to reinstall the software, especially if this problem occurs when printing from a wide variey of sources (such as word, notepad, etc.)

I hope this information allows you to resolve this issue. If you need further assistance, please post back with a comment to this thread.
If I've managed to answer your question or solve a problem, please take just a moment to rate this post....thanks!

Message of cartirdge is blocked (thus will not print doc) however

I think I corrected this for myself.
First of all check http://h10025.www1.hp.com/ewfrf/wc/document?docname=c01370198&lc=en&dlc=sv&cc=se&product=3742502&lang=sv

Here are the steps that helped me:
  1. open front cover
  2. disconnect power
  3. move the cartridge to the left
Using a flashlight I saw a black shiny bump (about 1/2 inch height) below where the black cartridge normally rests. It almost looked like it was part of the printer, but when I got a screwdriver it came of easily as it was a hunk of leaked black ink. I had used a refilled cartridge and maybe this had something to do with it. After removing the mass of ink, everything is working great!

My HP 3-in one printer is eating paper, what can I

Hello there
You may not see a paper jam.

This may work for you, it has worked for many here I given this advice so gave it a try it could work for you. Generally when this happens, something has fallen into the printer, or a piece of paper has been jammed in there.

First step, remove the ink cartridge, and turn the printer upside down and gently shake it, see if anything comes out.

If nothing goes, or you can't hear anything rattling around, get a piece of cardstock paper (60lb or heavier) and gently push this through the printer, to see if it will help push out what might be stuck in there.

And gave the rode that the ink slides on a good clean and maybe a bit oil on cloth and wipe the rod with it.

Please come back and just gave a vote, it will gave me some satisfaction to know am helping some one so I will keep on helping.

Prints test page every time printer is turned on.

You need to scan the alignment page successfully so that it won't keep on printing it everytime you restart printer.

Cause The product aligns the print cartridges every time at cartridge installation or replacement to ensure the highest-quality prints. The alignment page continues to print when the product is turned on or off, or when a print job is started, for any of the reasons below.

  • The alignment process is not complete.
  • The ink cartridges are not properly installed.
  • The ink cartridges need to be replaced.
  • The product needs to be serviced

Printer keeps indicating paper jam, but not paper

You may have a small sliver of paper hiding in the works somewhere. Take an aerosol spray can of compressed air and blow through the door in the rear, under the lid(loading area) and into and behind the paper tray. If this does not work, one of your sensors is faulty and this can only be troubleshooted by an authorized dealer with the proper testing equipment. Best of luck! Dana.

Hi piet..... Rubbing alcohol and cotton swabs will be the tools of the trade. And patience....lots of patience. After you open up this printer and remove the cartridge, unplug the printer. Then do your cleaning and let it air dry before you plug back in. Ideally, I like to let it air dry over night. Joe

When i try to print a photo i get white stripes

White stripes across a print-out usually indicate clogged printer heads: look at your user manual on the cleaning procedures.
You can try cleaning BOTH the Black and Color cartridges heads by gentling cleaning and wiping the heads with clean moist tissue paper/kitchen paper. Also clean and dry the contacts (eg. copper looking printed circuit).
For bad and very dirty print heads, I also use a warm shallow dish of water and wash the head only and then dry off with clean tissue paper.
After re-inserting the cartridge, I suggest that you do a cleaning cycle and alignment and do a test print to ensure that the printing is back to normal.
Hope it helps: let me know how you go.
