Here is the diag lights information from the HP 1160 service manual. It really sounds like you have worn pickup rollers in your printer. When these rollers get worn out the printer can not pickup the paper to feed it into the unit so it thinks that this is a paper jam but in fact no paper even moved. Pull the paper tray out and inspect the pickup roller. The surface should be like a fingerprint, not smooth, but with a rough texture. If it does appear smooth then they will need to be replaced. Try going to your printers settings and check the QUEUE. There may be something clogging it in there???

If old need to replace all rollers that feed paper - not an easy jobTry changing paperOnce you open the package paper attracts water like crazy and gets very humid and it will jam on regular basisTry and keep your paper out of humiditygood luck

Printing or paper?.. If printing check 1. check with another cartridge 2. check half test page(half test page while printing half page stop printer remove cartridge & paper see the image created on cartridge drum or not ,if not clean the Laser scanner assm, check on paper proper image or not if not clean the transfer roller.(looked like sponge roller located just under the cartridge location). beyond this trouble shoot, advised to send it to service center..

Clean the laser scaner your problem will be resolved 100%.
