My printer shows memory error

Mem test failure replace Dimm 0 or Mem test failure replace Dimm 1
If either of the are the messages displayed, the problem lies with the mother board (formatter).
DIMM 0 = On Board Memory - cannot be changed. DIMM 1 = Add On Ram - Can be Changed
Make Sure the printer firmware is up to date FIRMWARE
Most Likely the formatter board would require replacing.

How to replace logic card

Hello, the "logic card" or "formatter" is located behind the right side panel which will slide back towards the rear of the printer. The Formatter is help down by several screws, once the cables and screws have been removed the Formatter can be taken out.

Before proceeding - REMOVE the power plug from the wall socket and the printer.

The Formatter is prone to ESD "Electrical Static Discharge", precautions should be taken to ensure proper personal grounding to prevent ESD damage to the circuit board or bodily harm.

Removal of the circuit board is at the owners risk.

I hope this has been of assistance to you, any repairs under taken are at the owners free will.

How can I disable disk

Have you recently done a firmware upgrade to this model? Are you familiar with how to access the firmware "chip" inside the printer? If possible please turn off the printer, open it up and pop out that firmware module, then re-seat it down in.

Also, has any ram been added to this printer? If so pleas take it out and try turning it on to see if it corrects the error.

I assume you have also tried just unplugging the printer for a good 60 seconds at least, then replugging the power back in? Sometimes that can be enough to reset it.

Thanks,
Tim

Laser Jet 2420d. Error code 49. What is it?

Hi,

This is a firmware error and this error is usually caused by a bad formatter board. To troubleshoot this issue here are some steps that you can try .

1. Press CANCEL JOB to clear the print job from the printer memory.
2. Turn the printer off, and then turn the printer on.
3. Try printing a job from a different software application. If the job prints, go back to the first application and try printing a different file. (If the message only appears with a certain software application or print job, contact the software vendor for assistance.)
4. If the message persists with different software applications and print jobs, disconnect all cables to the printer that connect it to the network or printer. 5. Turn the printer off.
6. Remove all memory DIMMs or third-party DIMMs from the printer. (Do not remove the firmware DIMM in the lowest DIMM slot.)
7. Remove all EIO devices from the printer. 8. Turn the printer on.
9. If the error no longer exists, install each DIMM and EIO device one at a time, making sure to turn the printer off and back on as you install each device.
10. Replace a DIMM or EIO device if you determine that it causes the error.
11. Remember to reconnect all cables that connect the printer to the network or computer.
12. If the error persists, replace the firmware DIMM. 13. Replace the formatter.

Error 49.4C02 on my hp laser jet 2420 dn printer.

Printer error 49.4c02 may occur due to corrupted print queue. Just clear the queue and restart the printer and the error may be fixed. This would seem to work for most cases. If none of them are corrupted, check to see if any of them are in an uncommon size. Larger printings tend to result in this error as well. Check if it's the cause by clearing the queue then printing normal-sized documents instead. The error may also be caused due to complicated fonts as they are harder to read, especially if they're in color or written in a pdf format. If this is the cause of the error you can either stop printing such documents and update the drivers or firmware. The drivers may contain bugs which cause the printers to act this way, so updating them will solve the problem. for more help......

I Have a HP 2402d and when i start it up the

Power the printer off and pull the plug.On the right side of the printer is an access panel, slide it back to disengage it. Now you should be looking at a metal cover. Pull it out from the front to open it and lift it off its hinges. There will be at least one memory DIMM facing you. If there are two, remove the lower one. Power the printer up. If it initializes, good. That means that the DIMM you pulled is bad. If it still fails, power down, pull the plug and remove the other DIMM. Power up. If it works the 2nd DIMM is bad. Power down again and put the 1st DIMM you removed in the slot that the 2nd one came out of. power up and order another DIMM. Don't forget about the covers!

Hp laser jet 2420d erreur 57.03

One of the printer fans is bad. The main fan is found at the lower front right side of the printer and the sub fan is found on the left side of the printer. Try putting your ear against the center left side cover and then the right front side cover. You might be able to hear or not hear the fans. Of course if you know how to remove the covers, you could look.

Installed on a network....keeps rolling IP

If your network is assigned by DHCP have a chance after each shut down your printer will take new IP address...you can set up IP address manually from printer menu using buttons on top.
Just print menu map to see where you can find that option.
Good luck!
