Do you have the alternate software installed so you can use this on windows 7? I assume you do. If that is the case go to installed devices, i.e. printers and right click the printer icon, see if the ink level shows up in the tools menu..

Look for jammed paper of some other object that might have fallen into the machine.....

A quick look at the HP web site for this printer shows that it only supports Max OS X 10.6 and later. These versions only support the intel processor based macs. Your PowerPC mac is, unfortunately, obsolete as far as Apple and the peripheral manufacturers are concerned and is not supported.

The printer takes a tri-color cartridge and a black cartridge. So anytime there is an issue with color, replace the tri-color cartridge. As far as using compatible inks, you will not be able to use HP's software for ink levels with compatible inks. This feature will work only with HP ink cartridges.

Lots of Q-tips! I'd also use some small pieces of cotton cloth--be careful it doesn't leave strands of cloth in the bottom of the printer. I've had this happen and I just stuck with it until it got reasonably clean.Oh--and warm water will work just fine. Most of the ink is water-soluble

Hi Rick ,did the cartridges alline after you put them in ? I know the test was ok , so lets go into your printer software and check under settings to see if the printer needs to be told it has new cartridges , write me back and let me know if this works , if not , i will readvise ..........................Good luck Roy

The Canon SD1000 will work with SDHC cards, up to 32GB in size. Stick with any of the major brands and you won't have problems.

The HP 7350 will NOT work with SDHC cards, limited to SD cards 2GB and smaller.

You might have to uninstall the printer restart your computer then reinstall your printer click start control panel administrive tools computer management device manager scroll to ports(COM&LPT) + to expand you should see a communication port and Ecp printer port you might see a yellow?question mark this will mean you need to install a new driver for this device right click you will have options to update driver,disable,uninstall or select properties again you will have the similiar options plus you can troubleshoot scroll to the bottom toolbar (bottom of screen) right click you can select task manager applications also processes you will see whats running on your computer you might have a virus also select users you will see who is using your computer hope this helps

The printer is reset and has some conflicts with the PC. So remove printer and reinstall afterr uninstalling the driver software first.
After which you can connect the printer to be detected and installed.
Now make sure before this that the roller and mechanical movements are correct.
Take a test print. If not check on the mechanism for errors.

mcdevito75 here, You may or may not need the CD to install your printer. I would try in search from your home page the exact name of the printer and istall, you just may get the instalation instructions online or the ability to buy ther install CD. In either case there will most likely be a charge, but you"ll just have to see during your search.

Good day!Try to see if there is a foreign object that made it stucked..try cleaning the ink in the carrier of your cartridges..

It looking for a memory right and as you say you not got a card it looking for this because it is trying to save it to the card you will have to look in your printer driver there may be a settings there you need to change and also look on the printer it self in the menu.

The memory card contains more than 2000 photos. The HP Photosmart 7550 printer can only read up to 2000 photos at once.

Save the photos to a computer and access them from there.

The printer thinks it got a card inserted so maybe it worth a try power off the printer and take plug out and leave foe 1 hour then put back on see if it may reset the memory.

Clearing paper jam "and unstucking" cartridge holder should have nothing to do with power. So I suspect the power cable or your source of power. Please check your power source and if that is OK, try another power cable; chances are that the power cable sudden went bad.  however if after the printer comes on you are still unable to print, go through this procedure below:-

Some printers require certain motions "to be convinced you have cleared paper jam."

i.                     Put off the printer and unplug it from its power source.
ii.                   Open all the covers/shutters on the printer (usually you will find one in the front or top and one at the back of the printer).
iii.                  Now pull out the cartridge carefully and place it on safe surface. (Be careful not to place it where it may slide and fall. This could damage the cartridge)
iv.                 Site the paper that has jammed and pull it out in the opposite direction of its movement. Do not pull in the direction it was coming out. (Pulling the paper in the opposite direction is important for the printer’s mechanism. Printer must be off). Never pull out paper from a printer when the printer is powered on.
v.                   Return the cartridge gently and press it firmly inside so that you here it snap inside.
vi.                 Close all covers at the top, front or back.
vii.                Power on your printer and you should be able to print again.
