I have had this printer for about two years now. I havent used it much. A few months ago after normal use I kept recieving errors (check print cartridge) so I bought a new black cartridge and the light stopped blinking and I was able to print for a little while longer (about 20-40 pages). Then the (check print cartridge) started blinking again so I bought a black cartridge (office depot brand). After installing the new black cartridge the light would go off and I could print a few pages before the light came back on. I exchanged the cartridge at office depot for another and tried it again... still after a few pages the (check print cartridge) like blinks. now for about a month or so the printer has been unpluged and unpowered. I tried installing it on my new laptop today to see if i could get it to work this time. I was excited to see it working.. just needed to run a nozzle clean. Then after 3 pages the damn light comes back on. I have tried to do what HP calls a "reset" (hold power & page size button after powerup) but nothing seems to work. I dont want to put any more money into cartridges if this is defective... right now both cartridges are new.. the color is an hp one and the black is office depot (but still has hp stamped on bottom).
please let me know what you think: [email protected]
Check the date on your ink cartridge. I bet it has expired. If you put in a "new"cartridge but it is even an HP one with an older date, it may not work.
I had my printer stop in the middle of a print job. It was printing fine and suddenly would not print. So I refilled the cartridge with an ink kit I had on hand and reinserted it--no go! Then I opened a remanufactured cartridge (office depot) I had bought some time ago and inserted it. No go, despite the fact I could see ink coming from the jets. I finally gave up and bought a new HP ink cartridge, and it worked just fine. But it bugged me why the new one would work and the other two that seemed just fine would not.
Later I learned that HP has a chip that reads the expiration date on the cartridges and that is what keeps those old ones from printing. I found one trick of setting my date on my computer back to a year earlier than the exp date on the cartridge. I saw the date on the remanufactured one I had tried earlier was 2005, so I set my computer date to today date but year 2004. After forcing me to do print alignments several times and take the remanufactured cartridge out and put it back, I got it to print just fine. And that 2005 cartridge that would not work earlier is what I am printing with right now.
Be advised, though, if you try the date setback, that HP printer will buck and try every way to not let you use that old cartridge. You must say no to reflashing if HP tries to pull that on you. And you will take out and put back that same cartridge multiple times and keep printing alignment sheets 3 or 4 times before you are successful. But, if you persist, you can get it to work.

I have Windows XP Professional OS and have sucessfully loaded the HP software for PSC 1350 All In One. I have also downloaded the latest drivers off the HP internet sites.
Yet, I can only scan documents to Word Pad!!!
I have Microsoft Home And Student 2007 loaded but I am unable to send scanned documents to Microsoft Word 2007.
Why doesn't Microsoft Word 2007 show in the "Scan To" menu box????
Thanks much for any help you can provide.
Have you tried Alt I P S.
Open word 2007, insert your document in your scanner, and hit Alt I P S. go to advanced and make sure the paper size is correct then ok.

The Cap letter E is in the "copies" area. What is the problem, also the check printer cartridge blinks. Removed and put both back in, I think there is ink in each one. What to do?

I am using Windows XP 64bit and the disk that came with the printer does not support 64bit operating systems.I am using a HP PSC 1350 all in one printer / scanner / copier / and I don,t know how or where to get the drivers to download so I can print from my computer.I have a USB hook up and I,m still stuck on what to do. Please Help, Thanks
I cannot speak for the author or 3rd partys who may have been involved in the alteration or creation of this beta driver. It says that it's an HP Beta driver for x64, and it seems to be working fine for me on XP x64. My system did not find any virus's or spyware, and it is downloadable from cnet downloads which is usually a pretty reliable source for spyware free and virus free downloads. After much aggravation and a re-visit to past cussing sessions with clenched fists at the infinite money grubbing moronic attitdue of the big companies (like HP and Epson) who want you to buy a new device so they don't write the drivers you need for your existing and perfectly usable device, I came across this beta driver and gave it a chance. So far it seems to allow my PSC 1350 all in one to print flawlessly on XP x64! WHOO HOO!
HP can @#$%$#@! (this being the 5th or 6th go around with no drivers for an HP device that works fine on XP32, Vista 32 & 64, but not XP x64 (XP x64 being the most stable operating system MS has developed to date, I find it hard to understand why it's become the re headed step child). I'll never purchase another HP printer. (I fought this one desperately since it's a brand new printer that was given to me as a gift.)
anyway, enough spouting off, here's the link to the driver! ENJOY!

My HP PSC 1350 printer is not working. It appears that the paper feed is not working. I've tried cleaning the rollers and checking for a paper jam, but the rollers were already clean and there is no paper jammed. What can I do to fix this?
Check the gear on the left side of your printer where the disk encoder strip is attach, the gear is not holding the metal shaft your need to replace that gear. The problem is in the inner hole where the shafting is attached.
