Getting extra 1 inch margin on ''normal'' or ''best'' print

Hi - have you checked the settings for both the document(s) you are trying to print and the defaults for the printer? It could be that there is a default setting that is trying to override what you want to do. I can't think of a reason for it to act differently with different quality of print, unless the ink is running low - that can affect a document printing or not, but again, I would not think to this effect.

Some things to check on -

- Go to the control panel, open the Printers and Faxes folder, and right click on your printer.
Choose PROPERTIES. Make sure everything is set like you want it to be.
(If you are on a network of some kind, someone else's settings could be overriding yours. If you are not on a network, make sure "Do not share this printer" is checked on the sharing tab.)

-try to update the driver. Here is a good place to look -

I am assuming you have already actually checked for little scraplettes of paper that might be stuck near a sensor or an ink cartridge. I'd even pop the ink cartridges out and put them back in. Sometimes dust can build up on them if a printer isn't used often, or has been sitting for a long time.

Also, make sure you don't have a setting on your own computer to print out a blank sheet before a printing job. If your printer is actually run through an I/T department at work, they could have it set up by default to kick out a separator sheet to help keep orders separated.

I hope one of these things might work for you! : )

Printing is skewed and distroted

The drive rollers are probably contaminated, hardened or worn. You can try doing something through the manual feed; take a fresh sheet of quality paper, make a fat line across it with pure alcohol (not rubbing alcohol; too much water), let the printer pull the sheet in a few inches, then hold the paper to stop it, doing this several times before the sheet is fully pulled in.
If you are lucky, and you have traces of black on the sheet when it exits, you might have cleaned the rubber drive rollers a little.
Another possibility is, you may have a scrap of paper in the paper path causing problems but to check this, you will need some disassembly, not always a 'fun' project.

Workaround If you want to use your product before resolving this issue, you can work around the issue causing the error message by installing a minimal or express version of the driver and then installing Image Zone Express. NOTE: This workaround does not solve the issue. This workaround provides a way to use your product without further troubleshooting. This workaround does not install Image Zone. Image Zone is software provided with the product driver that offers additional features. Installing the express version provides some of the features bypassed in the minimal or express install. 1. Restart the installation. 2. On the installation screen, select the minimal or express option. 3. Download and install HP Image Zone Express from the HP Web site (www.hp.com). Hp color laserjet pro mfp m283fdw paper jam in tray 2 can't see paper

Here are some steps you can try to resolve the issue: Clear the jammed paper: Open tray 2 and remove any jammed paper. Open the rear door and look for and clear any paper present or obstructions in the paper path. Open rear cover. Clear Jam. Close the rear door to allow the printer to attempt to clear the jam message. Check the fuser unit: If clearing the jammed paper doesn't resolve the issue, it's possible that the paper is stuck in the fuser unit or that the fuser exit sensor is broken. In this case, you will need to remove covers, flat bed scanner, and fuser to check for any obstructions .https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Lz9cTnbuDbw https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MxVyWqGeBgQ If these steps don't help, I recommend contacting HP support for further assistance.

For HP color Laser MFP 179fnw have followed all manual instructions but wrinkled paper has disappeared and cannot see it. How do I get to remove it?

If you have followed the manual instructions for removing wrinkled paper from your HP Color Laser MFP 179fnw printer but cannot locate it, you can try the following steps:
  1. Open the printer: Turn off the printer and unplug it from the power source. Open all accessible panels and trays of the printer, including the front cover, rear cover, and paper trays. Carefully inspect these areas for any visible signs of the wrinkled paper.
  2. Check the paper path: Carefully examine the paper path inside the printer. Look for any jammed or crumpled paper along the path, including the input tray, output tray, and any internal rollers or guides. Gently remove any visible paper debris that you find.
  3. Use a flashlight: If the wrinkled paper is difficult to see, you can use a flashlight or a bright light source to illuminate the paper path. This can help you spot any hidden or hard-to-reach areas where the paper might be stuck.
  4. Check the fuser area: The fuser is a heated component in the printer that bonds the toner to the paper. Sometimes, wrinkled paper can get stuck in the fuser area. Refer to the printer's manual for instructions on accessing and inspecting the fuser unit. Be cautious as the fuser can be hot.
  5. Use a flat tool: If you still cannot locate the wrinkled paper, you can try using a flat tool, such as a plastic ruler or a piece of stiff cardboard, to gently guide through the paper path. This can help dislodge any hidden paper that may be causing the issue.
  6. Contact customer support: If you have exhausted all your options and are still unable to locate and remove the wrinkled paper, it may be best to contact the customer support for your HP printer. They can provide further guidance and assistance in resolving the issue.
Remember to always follow proper safety precautions and refer to the printer's manual for specific instructions related to your model.

Hp laserjet 1200 stops printing but stays on

If your HP LaserJet 1200 printer is experiencing intermittent printing issues, there are a few steps you can take to troubleshoot and resolve the problem: 1. Check for paper jams: Even if you don't see any visible paper jams, it's worth opening up the printer and checking for any small bits of paper or debris that might be causing a partial blockage. Use a flashlight to examine the paper path thoroughly. 2. Clean the paper path: Over time, dust and debris can accumulate in the paper path, leading to printing problems. You can use compressed air or a soft, lint-free cloth to gently clean the rollers and other accessible parts of the paper path. 3. Verify printer drivers: Ensure that you have the latest printer drivers installed on your computer. Outdated or incompatible drivers can cause printing issues. Visit the HP website and download the latest drivers specifically for the HP LaserJet 1200 printer model. 4. Reset the printer: Perform a power cycle by turning off the printer, unplugging it from the power source, and waiting for a few minutes. Then, plug it back in and turn it on again. This process can help clear any temporary glitches or errors. 5. Adjust printer settings: Check the print settings on your computer and ensure they are appropriate for the print job. Make sure you have selected the correct paper size, paper type, and print quality settings. 6. Update printer firmware: Visit the HP support website and check if there are any firmware updates available for your printer model. Updating the firmware can address known issues and improve the printer's performance. 7. Check for hardware issues: If the problem persists, there might be a hardware issue with the printer. Consider contacting HP support or a printer technician to diagnose and repair the printer. Remember to consult the printer's user manual for specific instructions on maintenance and troubleshooting. this might help
