SD cards have a slide switch along one edge. The position farthest from the contacts locks the card, protecting it from writes. The position nearest the contacts unlocks the card. If the switch is already in the proper position, slide it fully the other way and then back again.

if the issue is still not resolve try with the different set of cartridge if still the issue is not resolve contact hp toll free number - 1800-474-6836
they should replace the printer for you or if the issue gets resolved they should replace the cartridges for you if they are under warranty

Hi,

This issue is a result of the automatic paper type sensor misreading the colored paper as photo paper.

Follow these steps:-

• Click Start , point to Settings , and then click Control Panel.
• Double-click Printers and Faxes .
• Right-click the appropriate all-in-one, and then click Printing Preferences .
• Click the Paper/Quality tab and under Type is select Plain Paper .

I believe your installation was incomplete. You need the driver as well as the software which is required for scanning.

The "carriage" is the part of the printer that moves the ink-cartridges & print-head mechanism across the page.

If it is 'jammed", then it is not moving when/where the printer is commanding it to move.

Take the printer to a qualified technician, for trouble-shooting.

make sure other catridges have ink.

OK, I will give this solution a try. Please do not judge my solution harshly as I cannot see exactly what you are doing on the display panel.

It may be as simple as the current (displayed) photo has not been "selected" to print or the photo options do not match the media.

1) When you have a photo highlighted on the printer's display from the memory card, you must press <OK> to select it for printing. The photo will now bear a "checkmark"

2) Press <Photo> to display the "Photo Menu" - modify the photo print options as desired. (These options will go back to the default settings after the print job is completed).

3) Press <Start Black> or <Start Color> to print the selected photo(s).

• The remote user pressed the Stop key, causing the session to be terminated.
• The remote machine encountered a system problem such as no paper or a paper jam. This prevented the fax from receiving any more pages, and caused it to terminate the session prematurely.
• The call-waiting service can cause this error. The click, heard for an incoming call, is actually a momentary disconnect of the line.
• The remote machine encountered an incompatible feature causing it to terminate the session.

Make sure that..wires are connected properly between printer and computer. Wire cud be faulty. Check if scanner lite is moving on scanner bed. There cud b faulty scanner.

you need to reinstall the driver making sure it is for window 7 this is an issue with the the new software

You might have lost your drivers. Use your install disk and reinstall them. If not go to your owners manual and find out how to reset the printer to factory settings. Sorry, but thats all I have to help you.

Quit reloading same driver and look for new updated drivers that will run on your operating system.
Try reverting back to your old operating system if you recently upgraded to the new operating system.

Your only problem here is that you own a HP inkjet printer.  This printer uses up both cartridges even if you print in black.  Donate this thing and get you a Brother laser printer that just prints in black.  This will cost less to operate per page and uses less energy.

Windows 7 is a new operating system and printer manufacturers may have not put out new drivers to work with Windows 7 yet.  If you absolutely must have scanning, then go back to your previous operating system.  I hope its not Vista, cause that OS is a bunch of sh.t rolled up in one cow pie if you ask me.  XP was Microsoft's best child.

Select Print in Gray Scale
CLick on Apply>> Ok

install again so that the error appear will not come back more

Open scanner and make sure you removed shipping protection.
