We also need to know whether your copying from one drive direct to another so the disk you want to copy in say b drive and blank cd in another drive.
or is it putting disk you want to copy onto computer then remove and put disk in same drive we need to know this as it is different either way.

Are you on dial up, dsl or cable modem. Do you have a firewall installed? Please give a more detailed explanation of whats happening...

Most problems are related to OS. When asking for assist, tell OS and was it reunning before on same system?

If it beeps in a pattern (example 2 long 3 short) then I would need to know the pattern. With that pattern I could try to determine when the faulty component is.

Go to device manager and see if they are listed.
If there is a yellow or red mark there the driver needs reinstalling or installing

well you have to re-install your windows on your pc...

or try re-installing the software of QUICK TIME 6.0.

JUST TAKE OFF THE DUST FROM THE FAN, THAT SHOULD COOL DOWN YOUR PC AND IT SHOULD STOP RUNNING AT HIGH RPM'S.. FYI... THE FAN IS ALWAYS RUNNING
