error 720 means unable to connect to the POP server.. incorrect POP server ID or POP server is down

try checking the scanner cable . look through the glass back right . you will see a usb cable.. check both ends.. if there connected properly and you still get the error.. you need to replace the whole scanner unit

it seems to be locked up, just turn the power off then on .. you wont lose your docs and you should be working

Go to Start>> Control Panel>> Network Connections>> Right click your Local Area Connection and select Properties. Scroll the list for the entry titled: Internet Protocol (TCP/IP). Click the entry and select Properties. Under the General tab, tick the box titled: Use the following IP address. Enter the IP address and Subnet mask that you would like to use. eg - IP address = 192.198.0.1 & Subnet mask = 255.255.255.0.

The solution to the problem is as fallow

Press the button: Function
Scroll the menue of function from 1 to 9

Choose the function (F9) Edit File Mode

Press: Function (F9) Presst (Set) then choose from the directory: (1) Filie List
(2) Chage Time /stn
(3) Delete File (Please Choose (3) 
by pressing (Set) let it ring then Press (1)
to stop and then press (2) to delete.
(4) Print File
(5) Add Document
(6) Retry Income. File 

By choosing this function you will resolve the problem.

it is on the receivers end, saying either the modem is defective or they diconnected the line during transmission

This error is to do with the fuser warm up temperature. I would recommend replacing the fuser. I don't know how technical you are, but it is quite a job to replace (the copy module has to be removed as well as all the covers). Hope this helps.
