the problem is in your contact point of your flex to the chips board inside the keyboard. i fix this problem how many times and different brands. hope this can help you.

it is a genric hardware issue ........please try to contact an hardware tech for the same they will try to replace some key or the key board

A friend of mine has the same problem and i stumbled on your question today. This problem occurred with the Vaio VGN-FZ11E, after very very modest usage, no scratches or damage visible whatsoever.

There's one option out there:

"I found that if you hold down both left and right shift key at the same time (did this for several seconds), it somehow solved the problem. Hopefully that fixed the issue. Also, go to control panel, click on accessibility options..in the keyboard tab, click on the settings buttons for sticky keys, filter keys and toggle keys and deselect the option to use shortcut..hopefully this will help you and other people that have had this problem."

the contact underneath the shift key itself is starting to go bad. Its a common issue with sony laptops, the keys can wear out pretty quickly. You'll have to get another keyboard.

TURN Num Lk off, if not solve change your keyboard

Sounds like the cat did more then just damage the F12 key. If the plastic connectors underneath the F12 are damaged or the white tactile is damaged then they keyboard is done in that aspect. What worries me more is that the right hand side of the keyboard is not usable.

What needs to happen is the keyboard needs to be taken out and reseated back into its slot on the motherboard and see if you can use all of the keys again minus the F12.

If you can then use the keyboard until you can get another one.

If you get the same results (not being able to use the right hand side of the keyboard) then the keyboard is bad and would need to be replaced ASAP or you can use an external usb keyboard for now.

before you can use the number on the right side of the keyboard, the numlock on the keyboard must be on. i.e the first key on the numeric keypad must be pressed once for the light to come on.

Maybe: If it is a wireless keyboard....perhaps new batteries...but that is unlikely.  Usually when the letter buttons die in a group like that, the best thing for you is to bite the bullet and buy another keyboard.  Perhaps there was a spill on the keyboard...perhaps that particular group just gave out.  The good news is that keyboards are relatively cheap...and there is nothing quite like the feel of springy, new keys under your fingers.

Let your computer boot as normal.Go to Device manager>under keyboards your wireless keyboard should show. If its not there reload it from the set up disc that came with your hardware i.e keyboard and mouse.If its listed enable it or uninstall and reinstall.

You just need to connect an Audio Out port on the back of your TV to an Audio In port on the back of your JVC box. See what connections you have, I'm sure there are lots of options for you such as HDMI or just normal 2-cord audio cables.

call sony, 18887398246, have all your info ready that is on your laptop. order new keyboard.

im not aware of anyplaces that sell just indiviual keys you can buy a real cheap crappy keyboard and take the shift keyy off of that or you could get one from the junkyard just make sure that it fits otherwise you risk dmaging the keyboard.. hope this works and dont hesitate to ask me anyother questions =)

Why do they need to be turned on all the time? If your using them as security cameras they are not designed for that job. The 330 could be overheating because of the constant use. Some cameras have a built in 'Overheat' switch which could be switching it off. These cameras are designed for short periods of use, recording things like parties and holiday trips. How old are these handycams? These do get old and the technology in them can wear out if in constant use.
