First, plug a fan or hair dryer into the plug to make sure it has power, if not, check to see if the GFI plug hasn tripped. All electrical plugs that are near water have to be on a dedicated electrical line that has a trip-breaker (GFI) built into the plug. Try unplugging the washer for several minutes to reset the electronics. Those are the only two quick fixes I can think of. If you have an electric dryer, it will have its own 220v plug and won't be affected like the washer. If the dryer is gas and is plugged into the same outlet, try unplugging the washer to reset first before you call a repairman for the washer. If you have homeowners insurance, they may cover the damage.
Mine was doing the same thing. The solenoid is out and is letting water push by the valve in it. The solenoid is where the hot and cold water hoses hook up on the back of the washer. Hi there, given this a lot of thought. I had same problem. Could be that you are in a hard water area. Soap is not dissolving properly and building up in the rubber tube between soap box and drum. How I resolved this. Turn off power remove top cover of washing machine and massage the rubber pipe between soap box and drum to soften and cause undissolved saoa to drop into drum. This should rectify problem. Also consider using every month some descaler powder called Descaler cheapest from Axxxxn best wishes.
It is
possible that the machine does not start off the cycle because there are errors
due to feedback from the inputs. For the program to start up the main program
controller must initiate the INLET/MOTOR/DRAIN
pump/ valve to open up and allow each function to be driven starting from
the flow of water into the drum as also the drain valve to open to exit the
water at the point of the program cycle. If this does not happen then the
voltage at the valve/motor/pump must be checked or the fault relates to no
voltage from the controller. This means
the controller is a suspect.
If the
water flows though the inlet then the flow pressure should be good, if not the
inlet valve is bad or there is dirt in the filter. Also check the flow at the
inlet of the water line. Once the water comes into the system the WATER LEVEL
SENSOR - normally a pressure switch- must activate at the preset/chosen level
to give the signal to the program controller to switch on the motor. What is
most important for the motor to start functioning is that the door switch must
be ON when the door is shut or this will be an error for starting the motor for
rinse and wash.
