If the motor is running but the blades are not turning then you need to look for the fault either with the drive on top of the motor or the drive under the blades that engages with the motor drive. (Called clutches or couplings) Often there is damage to both so both need to be replaced.

Not for the motor - perhaps for circuit breaker. If you overheated the motor by blending a liquid with excessive viscosity you may have burned out the unit. Or maybe the motor overheated and a protective thermistor has shut off power to allow it to cool off. Give it another hour or so before making any conclusions.
