ok cool, what i want you to do is right click "computer" select "manage" and then "device manager", then click on the + sign next to "network adapters" and right click on the wireless network and "un-install" the device, reboot the laptop and wait for windows to detect the wireless card and install the drivers for it, this will appear in the system tray (bottom right hand side) when its done try to connect again

Hi First try to get Netscape then download the newest of internet explorer i think its number7 if my memory serves then remove the version that you have and use then Netscape to reinstall Internet explorer Hope this works Paddy

its very simple to open it when urs computer stsrt ommediatly press F8 for a while then ur computer shows fallowin wndow ...
it includes starting windows safemode, command prompt etc etc
select safe mood ur computer start automatically widout ny password then in safemode u can make other account in user account..
then can eaisly acess ur computer....

You May be able to reset or turn off the password using your bios settings in dos mode.

To access your bios settings ,turn on your Laptop & hit the delete key repeatedly untill the bios settings menu is displayed.

Use the <-- --> arrow keys to scroll through menus and locate the Password options . You should have the option of reset/enable/disable the system/supervisor passwords..
Exit Bios saving the changes..

i m nt sure for windowsvista but it definately works in windows xp....
try startin wid safe mode after pressing F8 4-5 times at booting time of urs laptop...
it is quite difficult..

Unplug the laptop from the power and also disconnect the battery, leave it like that for a good 3 minutes. then plug everything back in.

Sony vaios are very tempramental.
Did you drop or bang the machine, before this happened ?
There are a few suggestions.
1:) the screen catch mechanism is jammed.
Solution:- turn on laptop, using a small blunt screwdriver. where the laptop latch, goes into the laptop base. gently push the latch mechanism a few times, to see if it,s jamming.
2:) if the screen display shut off mechanism is under the actual laptop screen lid, push the small plunger, up down several times.
These are common likely causes.
3:) press and hold the power on button for 15-30 seconds, this is in case the system has gone into hibernate/sleep mode.
4:) ensure The battery is fully charged. And the laptop power supply is plugged in.
If none of the above work for you, you may need to take into a repair specialist.

Check the memory RAM, if your HDD is ok, and the Laptop is boot up, the Memory RAM as the problem, if the problem continues send me a mail [email protected] or msn [email protected]

Uninstall the yahoo and then reinstall, it should work then. make sure you don't loose the internet connection whilst opening yahoo.

Are you just opening a web browser, and actually typing in, www.yahoo.com, and going to your mail?

Or, are you using a mail client, like, Outlook Express, or Thunderbird, and using yahoo as a server?
