control panel admistrive tools,computer management,device manager scroll down cd dvd rom drives you might see a yellow question mark ? right click you can you can update driver,roll back driver,or select properties general troubleshoot, select driver click to reinstall drivers click update driver or uninstall then reinstall if this does not fix the problem it might be a registry problem Close all open programs

hook the cable back up to dvd and have the out going to the tv. note the dvd & tv must be set to Ch 3.......go to set up / menu on both tv / dvd change source to cable (not air broadcast)

don't know for sure but if the common reasons are that it opens when you move the laptop and when you get on the internet the power to the device may be changing when these actions occur. Moving it may cause an intermittant connection and getting on the internet usually draws more power from the power supply. If the batteries are ok the power supply voltage may be at the threshold at which these events make them fall to some value where the dvd burner thinks it's getting a message from the operating system to eject. Try it on a different computer and perform the same actions. If the problem stays with the burner it's the one with the problem, otherwise something in the laptop itself may be causing it.

Make sure it is not your DVD by trying several others or verifying that your DVD works in a different player. If your DVD is OK your player may just be dirty. You can try cleaning the laser detector. Pickup a DVD lens cleaner kit at Radio Shack or Best Buy. If that doesn't do the trick, buy a replacement, they are very cheap now.

Replace DVD writer

ok first please check ur DVD head...if yes,then restart the system....it ll work.

1. see to it that you have set your burning software to write to the disk.
2. try to use it on a cd, if it finishes the job, something is wron with your dvd drive.
3. make sure that the drive you have is really a dvddrive and not a cd drive.
4. upgrade youe burning software.

have you tried another dvd dc.it can happen if the dvd is faulty try another dvd if it is not working, try the nero dvd burner to burn the dvd.

The theft deterrence option is available from the SmartControl software that runs on a Windows PC connected to the 276E monitor. Inside the software, the theft deterrence item is under the Options section of the menu. Since a PIN is needed to enable or disable the "feature". It seems unlikely to be enabled accidentally. No disc in tray Press Home Scroll to settings input code: 13893108520 The settings will pop up and you will see that the DVD region is now set to 0 (meaning region free). I have checked the hack on a BDP8000 (region 2)and it sets the region to 0 (the 7th. digit from the left) alright, but it does not make the player region free as a message from the disc (MGM) comes and tell that the disc is not supposed to be played in this region. The region on the player can be changed to the region by changing the "x" in 138931x8520 to the actual region you want to play.Try this out. The hack codec for blue ray are not yet published so it is not possible to make Blue Rays totally region free as of now.
