Sharp AR-M160 Laser Printer - Answered Questions & Fixed issues

It's not developer light.
It is drum unit light and maintenance.
You have to replace the Drum, Blade and Developer.
After changing them you have to reset the maintenance, drum,developer counter.
This procedure must be made by a copier tech.

But if you still want only the developer the code is AR-202D

Here is a link to a driver you can try. It is very possible that there is not a driver available that is compatible.

Below are the F2 errors and causes for Sharp AR-M160

"F2-31" Image density sensor fault
"F2-32" Drum mark sensor fault
"F2-33" Grid voltage correction problem
"F2-35" Grid voltage correction problem
"F2-37" Drum mark sensor fault

Cause : CRUM chip defect OR Improper developing unit
Check and remedy : As you have already replaced the tonner, we can suggest Replace the CRUM chip,Replace the developing unit

Clearing a trouble code on a AR-M160 is a little different than the AR160.

Try "#" "interrupt" "clear" "interupt" "1" "4" "start key"

This should clear the error. Even if you replace the fusion unit you will need this code to clear the error

Polygon motor lock detection Detail : The polygon motor does not rotate. The motor lock signal is detected for 6sec after rotation of the polygon motor. The motor lock signal is detected for 1sec during rotation of the polygon motor. Cause : Polygon motor unit abnormality Improper connection or disconnection of the polygon motor and the harness. MCU PWB abnormality Check and remedy : Use SIM 61-1 to check the polygon motor operations. Check connection of the polygon motor harness/connector. Replace the polygon motor.. Replace the MCU PWB.

Replace the Heat Roller and Enter into Sim mode to clear the Error Code.

This is indicative of dirt on the optical section, or it could be an obstruction in the transfer section. It would help to inspect the drum section as well
