FRYER DOES NOT STAY HOT ENOUGH
You probably will not like my solution.
Either get a fryer with more BTUs or put less in it. You might be able to partially pre-cook the tater tots and or fry's then you only will only need a few minutes to fry them and your heat should hold. If the heat holds they should no longer be greasy (Oily) when finished.
WISH TO KNOW BTU"S FOR MODEL AF-45 ????
Good Luck! there is not enough information to answer this question however FYI: A Brand New American Range Deep Fat Fryer Model AF-40 can be obtained with 90,000 BTU's Nat or LP gas
Help flames front of fryer
Hi there.
Try to check and clean if needed the fire tubes, soot may have build up inside blocking the flame path. Soot build up on fire tubes and burners are caused primarily by low gas pressure, assuming that the orifice size are correct with respect to the type of gas used.
Regards.
