Fryer doesn't turn off the flames

The thermostat has failed. You can't say 'it looks fine' when you can't see inside. Because it is gas fired, you need a certified commercial gas technician to repair and check it for safety. https://www.google.com/search?q=American+range+gas+fryer+AF-35%2F50 ..

I have 3 American Range fryers on my consession trailer. I cleaned the burners and put them back in place and now the burners poof as soon as I light it. I have good pressure at manifold.

The burners aren't full of gas, there is too much air in them causing an explosive mix and poof! Or they aren't correctly in place.

I have an American Range fryer with a thermopile, the pilot will stay lite until the burner comes on then it seems to blow the pilot light out, not every time either....any ideas?

The pilot light has only a small orifice and this can carbon shut with time; with a small wire, you can try cleaning it. They may also provide a separate adjustable valve for the pilot and this setting may have drifted over time, shrinking the flame height and therefore resistance to being extinguished.

FRYER DOES NOT STAY HOT ENOUGH

You probably will not like my solution. Either get a fryer with more BTUs or put less in it. You might be able to partially pre-cook the tater tots and or fry's then you only will only need a few minutes to fry them and your heat should hold. If the heat holds they should no longer be greasy (Oily) when finished.

Help flames front of fryer

Hi there. Try to check and clean if needed the fire tubes, soot may have build up inside blocking the flame path. Soot build up on fire tubes and burners are caused primarily by low gas pressure, assuming that the orifice size are correct with respect to the type of gas used. Regards.
