How to download driver for

Hi Acer (KV.16X04.003) Internal DVD Drive You do not say which Operating System you are using. You do not give any information about your Computer or its specifications. This might have been useful information. Almost every Operating System, especially current ones, does not require any additional drivers for optical drives like this DVD-ROM Drive. The drivers to run almost every Optical Drive are already built-into the Operating System The only software you can download for the Drive are Firmware Updates, which improve and enhance performance specifications, rather than repair faults or make non-functioning drives function. Check the label for the Manufacturer of the Drive. It is likely to have been manufactured for Acer by another company (Sony, Hitachi, Samsung etc.). Go to that company's Support & Downloads website and check for Firmware Updates for the Drive and your Operating System. I am almost certain that no matter where you look, you will not find any drivers for this device. If the device is not working it might be a Jumper Settings problem. Look at the back of the drive to see the jumper pins and jumper. Look on the label to see a diagram of the various pin settings. If it is faulty, try connecting it with a different IDE cable, or try cleaning the Laser Lens with a DVD Lens Cleaner CD. If it is slow, it may be a problem with the computer. Some operating systems will automatically, clock an optical Drive down to a low basic speed after it has demonstrated a certain number of read errors. Also try checking and changing the (SATA/)IDE Settings in BIOS. The Drive might also be faulty and might need to be replaced. I hope this helps. My dvd room is not working

This DVD Rom is known for getting dirt and dust on the laser then to stop working correctly, I would like to say you should replace it, DVD roms are under 40 bucks and all work basically the same, just be sure that you get the right connector for it (there is four different kinds and two of them haven't been used for several years) then be sure to place the drive jumper in the right position, the instructions are almost always written on the drives case..
However if yo do not want to replace it then get a CD/DVD cleaner disk that has the microfiber brush on the cleaning disk and follow the directions. or if you really want to try to clean the laser by hand open the case and use a Qtip (not a generic one, the Qtip has more on the end of the stick) use windex window cleaner on the end of one and carefully and very lightly clean the lens, do not push on the laser, it is mounted on a magnetic holder and cannot take more than a few micrograms of pressure, after the windex (not a generic) rinse the lens twice with distilled water on a Qtip DO NOT, use hardly any pressure and do not use alcohol the laser is extremely sensitive to alcohol and pressure. Re assemble ad reinstall, if this doesn't work then you will need a new one.
