First you would need to make sure you have a parallel port on your computer, because if you don't, you would need to get an adapter of some sort for either a p2p or usb port, whichever you prefer. I'm not sure if you can get a parallel cable from the manufacture, but you could probably find it on eBay. With an older scanner and a newer computer, you can probably just plug it in and it will work, but if you need the software, go here: http://www.nodevice.com/driver/320P/get25293.html

go to devices and printers then you will see your scanner in there right click scanner then trouble shoot.
Can not work with XP
This is probablya driver issue.
