Possible manual, depending upon model which has not be provided in your posting.

https://www.manualslib.com/manual/1626579/Samsung-Am053fxmdch.html?page=56

Other web sites simply state "current sensor error" without explanation.

You may need to pay professional repair, or purchase a replacement air conditioner.

E154 Error in Samsung Air-Conditioners If E1 and then 54 is displayed on the display panel after switching on the air-con, this indicates fan motor or capacitor is defective. Replacement is needed.

Do you see any other digits alternating with the E4? Most of the error codes that I know with Samsung split system air conditioning units have three digits after the E. Depending on the last two digits, the error could be with the control board (printed circuit board), the fan, a sensor connected to the control board or the wiring. See https://removeandreplace.com/2017/08/15/samsung-split-system-air-conditioning-ac-error-codes-and-troubleshooting/ for some ideas.

I found the User Manual for the Samsung AQV24TWDN here: https://www.samsung.com/au/support/model/AQV24TWDNXSA/ . Scroll down or use the Download User Manual link. The direct link to the manual is http://org.downloadcenter.samsung.com/downloadfile/ContentsFile.aspx?CDSite=UNI_AU&CttFileID=5078406&CDCttType=UM&ModelType=N&ModelName=AQV24TWDNXSA&VPath=UM/201401/20140107175828476/[email protected]_IBIM_33367A_E_1.29.13.pdf&OriginYN=Y .

Please add a comment with the full error code for your air conditioner.
