How do i print screen

It's NOT really straightforward, but is doable.
Here's How:
  1. Press the Print Screen key on your keyboard. It may be labeled [PrtScn].
  2. Open an image editing program, such as Microsoft Paint.
  3. Go to the Edit menu and choose Paste.
  4. If prompted to enlarge the image, choose Yes.
  5. Optional: Use your image editor's crop tool to crop out unnecessary portions of the screen shot.
  6. Go to the File Menu and choose Save As.
  7. Navigate to the folder where you want to save the image.
  8. Type a file name for the image.
  9. Select a file type.
  10. Click the Save button.
  1. Hold the Alt key down while pressing Print Screen to capture only the active window.
  2. Generally the GIF format works best when saving screen shots of application windows. The JPEG format usually makes screen shots (especially those with text) blurry, blotchy and discolored.
Yes - the PrintScreen button is really mis-named.

You can find programs that do a far better job of capture screen images. Like this one.. http://www.etrusoft.com/

My acer 6516 laptop keyboard

Holding down shift key for more than 8 seconds will lock the keyboard and it will stop responding. But if you keep pressing keys for few seconds you would be able to type in but it will be very slow.
Plus, it will produce a nasty sound.

To get around this, go to start and then settings, then control panel and then finally accessibility options. Make sure all the 3 boxes are unchecked.

My acer laptop5920 keyboard is

There are some countries that use the alphabet differently than we do so therefore they make a setting for the keyboard to work under a different program for them. I had the same thing happen to me and I thought I was loosing it. Go into your "control Panel' and double click or right click on the key board and open it up and it may give you the option to change to ASCII. Usually logging completely off then back on clears it up, you might try that. I don't know what makes them jump over like that, I didn't such a thing existed until a few months back. Now that I think about I believe I did just log completely off and let it set a minute or two and when it came back up it was OK. If that doesn't do it log off and pull the batteries and let it set a few seconds, it's programmed to default to ASCII.

The A key keeps sticking

If you mean the key is physically sticking, as in pressing down but not releasing,it is possible that the plastic spring or rubber stop under the key has broken.

You can remove the key cover and check if the plastic spring that the key attaches to is moveable and that the small rubber stop underneath is present. If the spring is broken, a replacement key can be got from ebay for a small cost. Check also that there is no dirt or sticky patches under the key, these should be removed using meths or a similar solvent.

If the key is not physically damaged, or there is no dirt etc underneath, there may be a problem with one of the traces on the ribbon cable to the motherboard, this will necessitate a new keyboard

1 year old grandson slammed

It looks like it was really hard on the keyboard. The PCB tracks are likely to be broken or the ribbon cable below the keyboard has come off its socket.
