Ways to take care of yaour keyboard
Things You'll Need- Computer Keyboard
- Cotton Swab
- Isopropyl alcohol
Before doing any type of cleaning make sure to turn off your computer and disconnect the computer keyboard from it.
Once the keyboard is unhooked, turn it upside down and grab the can of compressed air. With the keyboard still upside down, tap it and watch all of the dust and grime fall out. Repeat this step 1 or 2 more times until nothing falls from the keyboard when you turn it upside down.
Take the cotton swab and dip it into the alcohol before cleaning the sides of the keyboard
If you want a more thorough cleaning, remove all of the keys from the keyboard and take a moist cloth and wipe away the dust. Also use the can of compressed air to vanish away grime particles.
Never use a wet towel on your computer keyboard
Turn off your computer and then unplug and reseat your keyboard. Occasionally computers will experience glitches that prevent drivers and software from loading correctly. Restarting your computer and plugging your keyboard back in will often solve the problem. If not, View your keyboard's status in the Device Manager. To access the Device Manager, open the Windows Control Panel and click on "System and Maintenance." Scroll down to the third section from the bottom and click on "Device Manager." In the menu bar at the top of the Device Manager window, press the button called "Scan for hardware changes." Windows will now scan your computer for any new or malfunctioning hardware. Once the page refreshes, go down the list of devices and click on "Keyboards." Right-click on your keyboard and select "Properties." A new screen will then pop up to tell you whether Windows thinks the device is working properly. If the system indicates the keyboard is not working properly but doesn't give you instructions on how to fix the problem, .
Visit your keyboard manufacturer's website and view the support or troubleshooting sections. Find the "Search Help" (or similarly named) box and enter your keyboard model number (this can be found on the bottom of your keyboard on a sticker or engraved in the plastic).
