Front grill is not closed properly... 2 clips on either side hold it in, however like in my situation the front clips are getting weak and we might have to hold in place with some tape for now until I find out how to replace the clips.... (Mini-splits can be such a pain for servicing)

the light flashing indicates there is a problem. you can try reseting the system by turning the power supply off and back on again 30 sec later, if the same thing happens you need to count the number of light flashers and that relates to a fault code

Lift the front cover as if you were going to clean the filters then look for a small button near the terminal cover on the right hand side. That is the manual on/off button.

Most likely a faulty thermistor. The error code doesn't show that sequence in the table but in my experience, when the thermistor is way out of normal range (instead of open or short circuit), it will cause the air con to act like this. The trick is to find which one and for that you will need a multimeter to compare the resistance of each against the temp characteristics for that thermistor. The part is cheap but you may have to pay for a tech.

Some evaporator blower units are electricaly interlocked with condensation pump. Besides the power to the pump, there would be two other wires, these two wires when open locks out the cooling, splice them together to bypass the interlock. In most cases though.

Tell us what model you are working on. The 9k and 12k units often just run on a single 115 volt power line while the larger 15k and up capacity units run on 220 volts. For the indoor unit to turn on means it is still getting some power. My guess is you have only turned off one of the two breakers that feed the outdoor unit 220 volts. You really have not completely turned off the power. Your breaker should have a connected double throw breaker. If you do have a double connected breaker and they both are "off" I would suspect you have a failed breaker that is still feeding power to the outdoor unit. If you don't know, the indoor unit gets its power from the outdoor unit.
