20 Most Recent AOpen DUW1608/ARR (914ID37002) DVD±RW Dual Layer Burner Questions & Answers

Hi there, you should probably try to open the burner manually, to do so, usualy there is a small hole on the from that you should push with a pin and this will open the dvd. Sometimes the dvd can get stuck if it is not centered perfectly. Thanks.

Check which flate cable do you have for its connection. AOpen recommendation is for 80-wire ATA-66/100 cable. In case this is not the cable you have, you should replace it. (The ATA/66/100 IDE cable is made from 80-conductor wire with 40 pin connectors, providing the superior ground spacing required by the ATA/66/100 specs, and allowing the full 100 Mbps burst transfer rate). Another AOpen recommendation is to configur the unit as a "Master" and not as a slave. Good luck

Is there a floppy disk in the A: drive? That "port" is usually reserved for a floppy disk, either 3.5 or 5.25in. You probably need to disable the floppy drive in the BIOS.

I am assuming that you are replacing or installing a new mobo. You need to read the manual to see if it has an option for speakers, most do. You need to look the details for the "front panel" where you connect wires for power, hard disk lights etc.

If you open your motherboard, then you can see a lot of input and output ports behind the motherboard, where you connect VGA, mouse, keyboard etc wires at that place there is a 3.5mm jack which may be green in color, you can connect specker wire there A red mark is shownf0e57a9b-b042-492e-a159-ddede3ddc5aa.jpg
