ASUS P5GD2 Deluxe motherboard with no sound

This is a known isue and ASUS is working on a sound driver for the chipset. Keep checking their site for driver updates. The board should all install with Windows 7 except for the sound drivers. Some people say they can install the vista driver and run it in vist or xp compatibility mode. The other thing you can do is pick up a cheap $20 Win 7 compliant sound card till the chipset driver issue is resolved.

I have a toshiba satellite c655 s5049 laptop when i turn it on it says no booyale device but hard drive is fine in bios dosnt detect hdd or cd rom what do i need to do?

Restart your computer and enter BIOS mode.

On most computers this is done by pressing the Delete ot F2 key but will vary depending on your computers bios other keys Acer: - Ctrl+Alt+Esc , ALR PC: (F2) or (Ctrl)(Alt)Esc) , Award BIOS: (Del) or (Ctrl)(Alt)(Esc). Scroll over to the "Hard Drives" tab, and make sure your computer has the hard drive assigned to be on.

Often during BIOS you can select auto-detect or change options with your hard drive to make sure Windows can recognize it.

Once you've selected your desired options, continue to boot. Now for the cd rom not being detected Click start control panel administration tools computer management device manager scroll down cd-dvd rom drives you might see a yellow question /exclamation mark ? ! or a red X right click to update driver you might have to physically unplug the leads for this cd/dvd restart your computer then plug them back this should activate the found new hardware wizard if this does not fix the problem it might be a registry problem "you only need to do the following" if you cant see your disk drive in windows explorer Close all open programs

Click on Start, Run, and type regedit and press Enter Click on the plus signs (+) next to the following folders

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE

SYSTEM

CurrentControlSet

Control

Class

{4D36E965-E325-11CE-BFC1-08002BE10318}

This folder is the DVD/CD-ROM Drive Class Description in the registry. Look for any of the following names in the right hand column.

Upper Filters

Lower Filters

Upper Filters.bak

Lower Filters.bak

If any of the above keys shown in step 4 are listed, right-click on them and choose DeleteAfter deleting the keys, close the registry editorReboot your computerOpen My Computer and check to see if your CD or DVD drives have returned. You may also want to open Device Manager and verify that the yellow exclamation and error code on the CD or DVD drive is gone.

hope this helps

if your computer came with a motherboard disc the sound drivers could be on it click start control panel administrive tools computer management device manager scroll to sound, video and game controllers you might see a yellow question mark? Right click to reinstall drivers or uninstall click start control panel sounds and audio, volume, advanced, speakers make sure you have selected the (((appropriate speakers))) also audio you will find 3 drop down lists make sure you have the correct settings there also click start control panel sounds and audio devices you can adjust the volume there also select speaker volume you can change your settings there you can also tick in the box place icon in taskbar if his does not fix the problem

have you tried this control panel sounds and audio, volume, advanced, speakers select the appropriate speakers from the drop down list or navigate to the device manager scroll to system devices + to expand, system speaker right click properties then select use this device (enable) also you might check the speakers plug/outlet is usually at the back of the computer you will have to open up the computer to check the lead attached to the rear of the input plug make sure the connection is good try cleaning your computer of dust using a fine air blower from a compressor making VERY sure that there is no MOISTURE in the air line specifically around the sound card and the CPU central processing unit dust causes static to build up in a computer make sure you have an earth ******** before touching any parts inside your computer hope this helps

How do i find in

Follow your motherboard manual's instructions to enter the setup CMOS. look for the option that lists the on-board functions, such as video or graphic card. If your motherboard has the video card on-board, there will be an option to enable it or disable it. Set this option to "enable" if it isn't already. If your motherboard does not have on-board video, it must have a video card installed in that slot. In either case, if you have a monitor display when you turn on the computer, your video card IS enabled.

I cannot configure a SATA RAID 1 to mirror two WD HDD 1 TB

You sure you installed the ASUS RAID drivers when you installed Windows? Ya need to get the drivers off the ASUS disk, transfer them to a floppy, hit F6 when windows tells you to (during windows install...you only have a second or 2 to see the message!)) and use the floppy to install them. Might take a few tries to get it right.
