Restart your computer and enter BIOS mode.
On most computers this is done by pressing the Delete ot F2 key but will vary depending on your computers bios other keys Acer: - Ctrl+Alt+Esc , ALR PC: (F2) or (Ctrl)(Alt)Esc) , Award BIOS: (Del) or (Ctrl)(Alt)(Esc). Scroll over to the "Hard Drives" tab, and make sure your computer has the hard drive assigned to be on.
Often during BIOS you can select auto-detect or change options with your hard drive to make sure Windows can recognize it.
Once you've selected your desired options, continue to boot. Now for the cd rom not being detected Click start control panel administration tools computer management device manager scroll down cd-dvd rom drives you might see a yellow question /exclamation mark ? ! or a red X right click to update driver
you might have to physically unplug the leads for this cd/dvd restart your computer then plug them back this should activate the found new hardware wizard if this does not fix the problem it might be a registry problem "you only need to do the following" if you cant see your disk drive in windows explorer Close all open programsClick on Start, Run, and type regedit and press Enter Click on the plus signs (+) next to the following folders
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE
SYSTEM
CurrentControlSet
Control
Class
{4D36E965-E325-11CE-BFC1-08002BE10318}
This folder is the DVD/CD-ROM Drive Class Description in the registry. Look for any of the following names in the right hand column.
Upper Filters
Lower Filters
Upper Filters.bak
Lower Filters.bak
If any of the above keys shown in step 4 are listed, right-click on them and choose DeleteAfter deleting the keys, close the registry editorReboot your computerOpen My Computer and check to see if your CD or DVD drives have returned. You may also want to open Device Manager and verify that the yellow exclamation and error code on the CD or DVD drive is gone.

have you tried this control panel sounds and audio,volume,advanced,speakers select the appropriate speakers from the drop down list or navigate to the device manager scroll to system devices + to expand,system speaker right click properties then select use this device (enable) also you might check the speakers plug/outlet is usually at the back of the computer you will have to open up the computer to check the lead attached to the rear of the input plug make sure the connection is good try cleaning your computer of dust using a fine air blower from a compressor making VERY sure that there is no MOISTURE in the air line specifically around the sound card and the CPU central processing unit dust causes static to build up in a computer make sure you have an earth ******** before touching any parts inside your computer hope this helps
