Asus no display

laptop computer or a desktop ?

test all leads that attach to your hard drive including electrical extensions SATA/IDE

the leads from your ((motherboard to your hard drive)) Sata/Ide make sure they have a secure connections and are not faulty or just replace them they could be faulty make sure all leads that are attached to your drives dvd\cd have secure connections and are not faulty or just replace them they could be faulty ?

even something as small as an electrical extension or a faulty fan lead can cause this problem

a computer needs all of the data and electrical current to travel through every working device and to have an end for a computer to be able work properly

make sure your graphics card is securely seated with no dust in its socket

if you physically remove your graphics to check the socket card restart your computer this should activate found new hardware wizard

When start then raning but

I presume you are reffering to BIOS message, so if you are presented with a GUI of any kind, try to enter BIOS settings (usually F2) and check in the advanced settings what is the boot priority for display (PCI,VGA,AUTO, etc.)

Hi, here you can download a sound driver:

Please select your operating system.
Select the driver and select global for download.
The driver needs to be unziped before installation.

Here is a free unzip program:

Click on the exe file for download.

Maybe you just need to install this:

http://www.java.com/en/download/

Did you connect the speakers to the green outlet jack
and turned up for the volumen ???

Multimedia audio controller

depending on your operating system
click start control panel administaration tools computer management deice manager look for any yellow question exclamation mark ? ! or a red X this means the driver needs to be updated or installed for this device right click to update driver if your computer came with a motherboard disk the driver could be on it or you you might need to download one
this driver package is 480.4 mb and supports a number of devices

You have to make make the four Front Panel Connection as shown below: -

(IDE LED is the same as HDD LED and Ground means negative '-')

Sound

First right click my computer then click properties then hardware then device manager and expand the sound video and game controller and see if the driver is marked with yellow question mark or marked with red X then you will have to reload the drivers and if you dont see any audio drivers then switch of the computer press del and enter bios and enable the audio device then click the volume control in theoolbar and check wether mute is clicked if clicked remove them and adjust volume slider to high

No Beep no display: Cpu

first shut down you computer remove the covers of the cpu then locate the memory and remove them wipe them clean with clean cloth and switch the computer on with out the memory and see if you hear any beeps if you hear beeps insert the memory and switch on the computer if still no beeps then remove the processor fan and clean the surface of the processor fan and the processor apply a thin layer heatsink solvent and clip the processor fan tighty to the socket

How to hook my power

the front pannel on the mother board will be indicated some ware in the mortherboard the function is tha a3.3v must be shorted to ground for the computer to start if you have a multi tester then check the pin for voltage and short in with 0v the power switch will be different in motherboard the sequence of the front pannel is 10 Pin Panel connector (IDE LED, Power LED, Power Switch, Reset)

Unknown Hard Error

It's probably a corrupted file on the hard drive due a variety of reasons. A simple defrag might fix it but it's unlikely, so it is probably preferable to a Repair function from your XP install CD. These kinds of errors with XP were not uncommon. After the Repair assuming it works and I'm fairly certain that it will, defrag your hard drive and then start getting the new updates for your system.

I need a display driver for windows7 in p4vp-mx

Hello,

I'm sorry, but this motherboard is pretty old. ASUS did not make drivers for windows 7 specifically.

Here is a link to the driver downloads they provide. You can try installing the VGA drivers for windows XP, they might work.

Test your PSU or replace it if your power supply units fan is not working your PSU is faulty

One bad lead can cause a computer to continue on a cycle or to shutdown or fail to detect/ boot up a computer hard drive
