try swapping the speakers around if the problem still persists either the speaker is faulty or the speakers plug/outlet is usually at the back of the computer you will have to open up the computer to check the lead attached to the rear of the input plug make sure the connection is good or you might have to clean the dust from your computer dust causes static which causes your computer to overheat and all sorts of problems be sure to wear an anti static earth strap before touching anything inside your computer

have you tried this control panel sounds and audio, volume, advanced, speakers select the appropriate speakers from the drop down list or click start control panel administrive tools computer management device manager scroll to system devices + to expand, system speaker right click properties then select use this device (enable) try cleaning your computer of dust using a fine air blower from a compressor making VERY sure that there is no MOISTURE in the air line specifically around the CPU central processing unit and your sound card dust causes static to build up in a computer causing it to overheat any many other problems hope this helps

For what it would cost for the power cable, I would look for that same model on ebay, then you could have a spare set of speakers also.

The solution is actually quite simple, due to a design flaw. Altec lansing designed a rather cheap mini din plug-in which can either be replaced or repaired depending on your skill and patience level. Your ground contact is fine BUT the positive contact is not making connection due to the fact that the plastic housing has broken away and pulled the contact with it. This can be super glued back into place or just replaced with a new mono minidin plug-in.

If the power light on the speakers isn't on, then the power supply going to the speakers is either in a bad outlet (test the outlet with a voltage meter) or the plug isn't firmly seated. Best of luck in your new home and hope this solves your problem.

A constant low hum is a sign of a power supply issue. You need to check the capacitors that filter the ripple current and you need to check the diodes that convert ac to dc

Hi Michael, ask, have you allowed the battery to charge properly? Leave it plugged in, for the term of 12 hours, you would have to have a light that indicates charging status Then use it, until again it runs out of battery, again leave it 12 hours charging and should, work well Take the tests and comment If you can not make it work well, you should have the option to change the product, if it is new, in the store where you bought it I hope it works properly Greetings Franco Dosil https://fccid.io/2AE6GALP-XP850/User-Manual/user-manual-4144324.pdf

Most likely be component failure on the circuit board. If so inclined, open the unit and see if there are burnt/discolored resistors. Hopefully you have a warranty and can have the unit replaced

First, there is NO screen on the boom box. The issue is with whatever you have the speakers connected to.
