The 343 printer error means that your waste ink absorbtion pad is full. Follow these steps below to reset it:

1. Go to menu by pressing the > button
2. Press [copy] and then #
3. Go to 'test mode' by pressing > several times
when "test mode" is on the screen press the "ok" button.
4. Now press 8 then 3 then 0
5. After that press the on/off button

please do the below things and try to install ...

ensure that you have admin rights in the system

restart the print spool services ( to restart the print spool goto start ...run type services.msc press enter then go for print spool service double click on that and stop the service and restart again )

connect the printer to the system and switch on it then try to install the printer ......

first you have to know if the soft ware that you are downloading dos it have to be zip. if so download winzip progam and see what happens.let me know if you fix it.

sometime the head printer gets clog so what you have to do is go to maintance and there should be a program that will clean your heads on you printer then run a test run with you printer.willie

Ok. i have seen this before. Your driver may be corupt, and the systems applet may actually be missing. Uninstall the printer completely. Run a search at the start menu and type in your printer name to make sure no corrupted files have been left behind. You need to run good antispyware, antivirus (i recomment avg free for both) then run regcure or similar to correct any bad registry errors. My neighbours did this and we fixed it with this solution. Now, once all clean and all registry cleaned, go to your manufacturers (canon) site and download a new driver, there may be an updated one too. Now install printer with new driver. Good luck!!!
