When machine is cold and run first copies of
Printers that use "toner" (dry ink) rely on heat from the "fuser" unit to melt the ink into the paper. If the "fuser" is becoming slow to "warm-up", then the toner is not getting properly melted into the paper.
Call your local CANON store, and place a service-call.

Getting lines about 1-2 inches down the side have
are the lines also on printed image or only on copy?
If only on copy - clean the copy glass.Eaven the smallest dirt on copy glass could give you the problem.
if on printed too, it could be drum unit.
For local dealer i cant help you, but if its drum unit you can change it on your own.
To check drum:
open front cover, realese left blu handle, realese the toner handle, unscrew grey screw ( screw is unscrewd by hand ) on drum unit, and pull it out.
If there is any lines on drum replace it.
The drum goes aprox. 60-70000 copies.
If the drum is ok, also check fixing film - for thath call/find service.
hope that helped

remove ink crg, flip printer up side down to eject foreign material from paper path.Also use flash light and check for something stucked.
hope that helped.

Copy not good
under user mode there must be color or gradation adjustment, i belive under printer prop.
How many copies do you have?
After 100000 copies you will need to change developing units, and clean drum sensor, or replace drum.Call service.

E071 error stands for ITB position sensor fault,so you may try to check if the ITB belt is ok, if there is no paper left overs or similar, but this error can occure when the main board ( dc controller ) is defective.

My canon printer shows error code E 000020-0160
Hi
Thanks
for using FixYa. Error E000 means low temp detected in the fuser
unit, Faulty thermistor, lamp or PCB. Check fuser for jammed
paper. It’s an issue related to the fuser unit. Try and clear the error by
entering the service mode:
- Press ADDITIONAL
FUNCTIONS, #
- Go
to #7 Printer and press OK
- Go
to #4 Printer Reset and press OK
- Yes
= ( * )
- Power
cycle unit.
If this does not help, on most units you have
to start looking at your Fixing Assy. or Thermistor. Make sure that you do not
have a piece of paper wrapped around Upper Fixing Roller or and other foreign
substance in that area.
Please do accept the solution if the issue is
resolved or else revert for further assistance.
Thanks
Rylee

Setting for printing evelopes on c 3200 canon
You may need to calibrate the tray sensors again - you can find the tray size calibration in the service mode under 'feeder' and select 'manual tray' or 'bypass tray'. You really need a manual to configure the trays properly but you did not specify which machine you are referring to. Assuming you have a Canon search for your
manual here

My opinion is that You need to replace drum.Under service mode try to see the drum life if it says 80-100% change it!
E020 There is a fault associated with the drum/developer.
For the first 2 digits of detail code xx12 through xxD0,
xx=01: Y
xx=02: M
xx=03: C
xx=04: Bk
xxBO:
The drum unit is approaching the
end of its life and is causing the
T/D ratio to drop. The ATR
sensor has an open circuit.
The fault occurs when an image is
being formed. It is detected when

If you can email from your pc externally, then the same should be for your copier. If there are network permissions or passwords needed then you must enter them when and if prompted. You will need to enter email server settings within the system settings area of your machine if you have not already. But once you have entered pop server details etc then all should work fine. To enter the email settings you must enter the systems settings via the additional functions button and scroll for the email settings option. You must then enter all of the information requested within that set up.
