Error message states ink absober full

The problem occures when the printer used for long period. The printer giving an error message for Waste Ink Tank Full. While it blinking it LED, you cannot operate the printer.
A. There are two small pads inside rubber boots under the head.
Cleaning these is easy, but does NOT affect the error message. They don't get very dirty anyway. The ink that goes through these is pumped down into the waste absorber through two plastic tubes by a pump mechanism.

Cleaning the waste ink pads.
1) Open the front cover and power-ON, when the catridge come out from where it hiding, quickly unplug the power cord.

2) Use a tissue (preferred toilet tissue) to **** out the excessive ink in the waste ink tank in where the catridge hide. After you satisfy, close the front cover.

B. The "Waste Ink Absorber" which we get told is full when the printer stops consists of several pads of highly absorbent material underneath the printing mechanism. They are white when new and get filled with excess ink over time. This is where the two plastic pipes lead down to. You have to perform a reset procedure to stop the error message and make the printer print again. Reset the waste ink counter like this:

1. Unplug POWER and USB cables.
2. PRESS and HOLD the POWER button...
3. While holding the POWER button pressed, Connect the POWER cable (plug in the power cord).

The power light will be in orange/yellow. (This is mean it is in service mode).
Keep pressing the ON button, press the RESUME button 4 times. (The light change every time you press it.)

3. Release both buttons and restart the printer.
4. Power ON your printer as usual (It should not blink anymore)

C. If you are concerned that the absorbent pads might overflow (and they WILL, one day, if you reset it several times without cleaning them), you will want to clean and refit them. To do this, you need to strip down the printer, remove the pads and clean them, refit the pads, and rebuild the printer. This is really quite tricky, as there are clips to undo, lots of springs to put back in the right places at the end, a couple of little plugs to remove and put back, and an optical strip and wheel which can get damaged. Even getting the pads back in is slightly awkward. Many other inkjet printers have similar pads and a similar procedure is needed to clean the pads and reset them. You may want to get someone who is keen on rebuilding gadgets to do the rebuilding - it's awkward and easy to get wrong. It usually leaves the printer unusable when it goes wrong, because it can't detect the paper or can't feed it through.
In iP2000 the 2 pads mentioned above have 2 silicone tubes attached to them that run to the rear right side of the printer.
Taking the sides off you can unsnap plastic clips to remove the top half of the printer cover. Following the silicone tubes... they run into a white plastic pump that sucks the ink that falls onto the pickup screens and dumps it onto numerous felt absorber strips under the pump mechanism.
To clean or change the absorber felts you must first remove the Pump mechanism which is held on by 2 screws so that you have access to the felt absorber pieces.
If cleaning the pads... run clean water over each piece of felt until the water runs clear. Then place them on an absorbant surface (paper towels.. newspaper etc.) and let them fully dry.
Then reassemble the whole thing in the reverse order.

Hope this helps.

The waste ink absorber is full what can I do ?

Canon PIXMA IP2000
You may RESET the printer code first if you like or do it after you clean the pad
In some cases you may need to REMOVE THE PRINT HEAD FIRST or the reset code will not work. This was true of the S900 and i960 so, remove the print head first before doing this reset.
This is the correct code for the S and I (like i960) series of printers. (M series below this)
1) Power off printer
2) Hold RESUME button then press and hold POWER. (The beeper MAY sound once, or may not depending on your model.)
3) Hold POWER and Release RESUME.
4) Press RESUME twice then release both POWER and RESUME buttons.
5) When the indicator lights steady, press RESUME 4 times (for the S900, 3 times for the 8200 apparently).
6) Press power to set data.
7) Print away!
For other codes for other printers and more info go here to this big forum (but try the above first) Fix Your Own Printer Generally many of Canon's models use exactly this same code, the i models use the same code, all the s models use the same code.

Please come back and just gave a vote, it will gave me some satisfaction to know am helping some one so I will keep on helping.

My canon pixma ip2000 will not print. The paper

Hi There

Summary

Usage of compatible ink and leave the printer idle too long may cause printhead clogging
What should you do if you get this problem. Relax; you may recover the printhead by unclogging it. Follow these steps to unclog the printhead

1. Right click in the printer driver name
2. Select Properties menu
3. Click Maintenance tab
4. Click on cleaning sign for regular cleaning. Perform this up to 3 times.
5. If this does not work, perform Deep Cleaning

And if that not work

Some times it needs a good clean up but this is up to you if you want to do this,
But after you done this prime the printer so it gets the inks back in the heads, it may take a little time for the inks to work.

Ok.

There is fluid cleaner for this but I can never find any in the shops the only ones I seen is when they sell them in Tesco but they come in with the ink refill bottles so I just use worm water by it self on a cloth and dabbing on the heads to clean them, it will not harm the heads but not to much water.

Some heads are on the inks them self but some have them inside the printer so I not know your printer so if the heads are inside you need to get them out you may find that some heads will just clip out put some need to be unscrewed so you got to know how they come out so be careful and not push to hard on them, if the heads are on the ink then it is a easy job to clean them,
It worth a try it worked for me more than ones.

Please all I ask is call back and just gave a vote, it will gave me some satisfaction to know am helping some one, so I will keep on helping.

When Printing the paper keeps going off to the side

You may not see a paper jam.

This may work for you, it has worked for many here I given this advice so gave it a try it could work for you. Generally when this happens, something has fallen into the printer, or a piece of paper has been jammed in there.

First step, remove the ink cartridge, and turn the printer upside down and gently shake it, see if anything comes out.

If nothing goes, or you can't hear anything rattling around, get a piece of cardstock paper (60lb or heavier) and gently push this through the printer, to see if it will help push out what might be stuck in there.

And gave the rode that the ink slides on a good clean and maybe a bit oil on cloth and wipe the rod with it.

Please come back and just gave a vote, it will gave me some satisfaction to know am helping some one so I will keep on helping.
