Color not printing correctly on canon i900d

Take the cartridges and print head out. Pour about a centimeter of boiling water into a saucer or shallow bowl and set the print head in it for about 30 seconds. Place it on a folded up paper kitchen towel for a minute to dry and replace print head and cartridges in printer. Run two normal cleaning cycles and a nozzle check. If the test print is still poor or has not improved at all, the print head is probably dying and it is time to find a new machine. If the print has improved but not perfect, just repeat the process a couple of times.

Error code 5C00

Error code 5C00 refers to a purge unit error. This is a service call error and requires that the printer be taken into a canon authorized service facility for diagnostic and proper repair.

I900D printing lines

Turn off the printer and open the printer back door. Use a spot light and give look inside properly. Make sure there no paper. Some time small part of the paper creates the problem. So you can do one thing after open the back door, top side etc make the printer upside down etc. So if anything inside that's will come out. After cleaning again connect it with PC and turn on. Now give a look. If you face same problem then Un-install the printer driver and software from the PC. Then restart the PC and Printer both. Now connect the Printer with PC via USB and install again the driver & software. Then try to print and let me know the result.

All my photos are printing

You should be able to cure this in the driver setup. You will find hue and saturation settings there.
A reset of the printer will make no difference. If your nozzles are all good and clear and u are using genuine ink tanks then it will just be the driver. You could uninstall the driver and download the appropriate driver from the canon site. When i say uninstall I mean uninstall and not delete. Also do a restart before installing the new driver with the usb cable disconnected.
Also the program you are printing with can make a difference. Photoshop is usually the best.
Calibrate your monitor as well.

Good luck

Error 5200

There are 2 possible solutions to this problem.

1. Th first is really simple; replace the color ink cartridge.

2. a. The second is that you may lift the lid. Leave the on/off button in the "on" position.
b. Then unplug your machine while it is still in the "on" state.
c. While it is unplugged, lift the gray bar and move the print head to the middle position.
d. Remove the print cartridge head with the cartridges in it, and close the lid.
e. Now plug in your printer.
f. While printer is on, it will tell you that the cartridges are missing.
g. Go ahead and put the cartridges back into the machine and close the lid.
h. Machine should work fine now.

I hope this helps. Good Luck!

Our printer is so unreliable.

  1. Lift the document cover to expose the platen glass.

  2. Wipe the platen glass (A), white areas (B), and transparent sheet (C) with a clean, soft, lint-free cloth moistened with water.

  3. Then wipe with a clean, soft, dry, lint-free cloth making sure there are no residues left, especially on the platen glass.

  4. Close the document cover and make a copy of a text document to confirm the black line has disappeared.

If you need more help come back.

The printer sends an error message saying there is

Warm water on a lint free cloth. stroke the pickup rollers in one direction as you turn the roller to clean off the coating that builds up. Let dry and try printing again.

My i900d will not feed paper , the paper will not

Is the feed roller turning? You can look in the front of the printer at the big roller. Try to print and watch the roller. If it isn't turning prepare to buy another printer.

Installed windows 7 now printer will not work

try downloading the Windows 7 version of your printer drive. you did not specify what printer you are using, but check the printer manufacturers website for updates. That is why I still use Windows XP, no problems with any Peripherals or accessories. Newer OS is only good on the eyes and ears and, well, you feel good because your updated on the latest software, but, the question is, Can you use and install your other gadgets on the new OS? I doubt it....

Photo printing

It is definite one cartridge is not running. You do one thing - 1. Write documents in MS-Word - select all - change the color to Red. Take print out. Check Printing is perfect or not.
2. Write documents in MS-Word - select all - change the color to Cyan. Take print out. Check Printing is perfect or not.
3. Write documents in MS-Word - select all - change the color to Yellow. Take print out. Check Printing is perfect or not.
I am sure when you changed the color to Cyan - it did not print Cyan or blank page you got.
So you must replace the Cyan cartridge or may be ink is not coming out through the passage. And first you have to check whether you have removed the plastic tape from the head of t he cartridge.
