Ink tank is installed incorrectly, or there is a defect in one of the ink tanks.
If you used a "re-filled" tank, then that would be the suspect.

right click my computers click properties then hardware and device manager scan for hardware changes then it will come in ? this mark right click that update driver insert the cd and click next .search in the cd name in xp it will come in G drive.

hot water is not good. you should take the printer head for colour and put it in strong spirit. have it there over the night and it should work fine after that

Try a deep clean, sounds like a blockage but odd all at once. it could be possible that cartriges are a faulty batch, ive experienced many times but not all at once. hope this helped jay.

You can remove the top case by unscrewing the 2 screws inside
the front flap.

With a bit of fiddling you can remove & clean the waste ink pads
Then use the service tool to reset the counters

my solution worked i took out the printer head, filled a syringe with warm water and "only" squirted the bottom holes were the ink comes out' i did several times. and be carefull not to touch the holes as it will damage easly..and if you get water on the terminals wipe it off with kitchen paper or toilet paper. i had the same problem it wouldant clean i went through lots of cartriges until i tried my solution and worked. its caused by ink clogging up.(blocking). hope this helps. jay.

The printer head has gone you,ll need a new one, itll cost more than the printer. i would buy a new one.

It happens when the printhead goes bad. You need anew printhead, QY6-0054-000, around $60.00

Try cleaning the print heads

Hello sir; I believe it's time to clean print head and ink cell, power on the machine open the cover ( as you replace cartridge) , when carriage move to the center , then UNPLUG the power cord. then you may move carriage freely by hand all the way to left, noe you can clean up ink cell easily.

For Flashing E the problem is with the printer head already

my advice is that call the local technician or call the technical support line

Try resetting and cleaning the printhead

Do you get other colours except pink?
If that is the case,reasons could be:
1. there is not enough RED or BLUE in the cartridge.
2. you haven't selected pink colour on the text or images you are trying to print.
If you are typing a document highlight the text you want in pink, and choose PINK color for the font.
Then print the document. The printer will use color closest to your choice, if it does not have the exact color.

Here's the steps for reseting "Waste Ink Full" problem at iP1000

Step 1: Manual for Service mode (1st method)
1. Unplug POWER and USB cables.
2. Open door, PRESS and HOLD the POWER button.
3. Connect the POWER cable.
4. Close door, then release POWER button.
5. Power ON your printer a usual (It should not blinking anymore)

Step 1: Manual for Service mode (2nd method)
1. Unplug POWER and USB cables.
2. PRESS and HOLD the POWER button,
3. Connect the POWER cable.
3. Release the the POWER button
4. Power ON your printer a usual (It should not blinking anymore)


Step 2 : Software for Permanant (1st method)
1. Reconnect the USB cable and turn ON your Printer
2. Open "General Tools for iP1000",

3. Select (USB PORT)
4. Choose (SET DESTINATION 1)
It should be reseted already, but somehow it start blinking again if you ever unpluging AC POWER cable. So try the 2nd method by using ServiceTool for IP1500

Step 2 : Software for Permanant (2nd method)
1. Reconnect the USB cable and turn ON your Printer
2. Open "General Tools for iP1500",

3. Select (USB PORT)
4. Choose CLEAR WASTE INK COUNTER - MAIN
5. Choose CLEAR WASTE INK COUNTER - PLATEN
It should be working, coz my printer now now work normally


I tell you what. Before you decide to reseting the waste ink counter, you should really clean up the ink absorber, or else you will find the ink watse absorber overflow...
