Connect the scanner to the Computer, Once Connected.Press the start button on the Keyboard once done, Just type in Add even though you don't see a place to Type. Once the results appear click on settings on the Right hand side top Corner there you would see an option to add device click on Add and it would search your device and add it automatically.Good Luck!!!!
CanoScan Lide 25 error message
ok, I solved this problem in an unorthodox fashion but it worked... so far that is. First a little history, I was getting this problem constantly and I was at the point where I was going to dump the machine in the trash... therefore I decided to do a little surgery.
Solution:
I ripped off the plastic sides of the scanner and lifted the glass from the front while it was still in the back of the machine. I started to try to scan. After doing that I received a different error. After that error I replaced the glass without the plastic sides and it scanned with no problem. It works for me and it has worked since.
Unorthodox? Yes it is, but when I forced a different error and forced recognition. I believe this is a software problem and not a hardware. Good luck to the rest of you. Any questions, I'll try to reply.
I have a Canon LiDE 60 need to open scanner. How do I open it?
I just fixed my lide50. The data cable on the left was getting stuck when the scanner was halfway the page. I put some tape around the cable to make it more stiff, now it´s o.k.
To open it you have the remove the long strips on the left and right hand side of the glass panel. they´re glued to the glass but can be removed using a small screw driver. After that carefully move the glass to the backside, now you can lift it. Be careful when moving the scanner around, the ´scanhead´ can get detached, it´s a pain in the *** to get it back together again.
