I want to use my sd card to put my own songs and

You need to understand what the program is doing. An MP3 file is a recorded music performance like a phonograph record. A MIDI file is a set of instructions for performing music, like sheet music. The converter program is an attempt to turn the record into sheet music. There is no perfect way to do that. You should have gotten something out of the program, though. It sounds more like a computer problem. Try a very simple sound file, convert it to MIDI, and see if you can get something out. If your keyboard can't read it, try putting any known good MIDI file on the card and read that. Possibly your keyboard will only read certain formats or sizes or speeds of cards. See if the manual tells you anything. It might read FAT16 regular speed cards under 1 GB, for instance, and balk at a SDHC 16 GB NTFS formatted card. So, do some detective work.

My casio lk-45 has no

Yes it could be. Drop voltage adapter can cause power/pre-amp not work properly, but still can power up the lights. There maybe power supply circuit failure inside LK45 and also power-amp problem.

Correct adapter for casio wk 500

Casio AD-12 for my country with 240V You may use any 12V 1A AC Adaptor that has the same DC jack provided the center is NEGATIVE. Most common generic AC Adaptors are Centre POSITIVE. So cut DC end of the wire and solder them in reverse and insulate with tape and it will work.

I have the a Casio

Does it say ERR NO FILE? If so, then read on. The reason you have this error is because you don't have a folder on your sd card named MUSICDAT. Solution:
  1. Insert your sd card into computer
  2. Make folder called MUSICDAT.
  3. Then, transfer all files inside the folder (make sure your songs are in MIDI format).
  4. Safely remove your sd card.
  5. You're ready to put it in you Casio Keyboard!
If you still get the error, take time to read you manual. Read the "using the sd card" part. The folder name might be different for your Casio Keyboard (because mine's a CTK-5000).
...and IF you still get the error, perhaps the songs you meant in your question are MP3 songs (like the ones you play on the iPod)? Then, that's a different topic... :)
Well then, good luck!

What software do i need to record from keyboard to

You can use FL studio it's easy to adjust and easy to work with. Also you can find more help then maybe any other software out there. Also you can find instructions on Youtube how to hook it up. Cake walk is another one, I think adobe audition can too use to be Cool Edit. You can try pro-tools but it's difficult, at least for me it was and finally Sony Acid does it too. Well good luck.

SMF converter for wk-500, Does it exist?

No.

I have a Wk-8000 & a CDP-200R, the later is the same as wk-500 but with 88 weighted hammer keys.

Since wk-500 can play SMF (Midi 0 & 1) format directly from a SD card and there is enough polyphony to play anything, I don't find any real reason to convert SMF to any "Casio Format". Just get a 2GB SD card and put your SMF files in the MUSDAT folder for the SD CARD using your PC/MAC.

Anvil Studio is an easy way to prep midi files for keyboard use, save channels 3 & 4 "left & right" in Midi 0 format and it will light the keys properly. Keep your file size under 80k!

I plug in my casio

If you lucky, the power jack may be at fault since it switches from external to internal battery, but most likely the internal supply is what's damaged... IC regulator possibly. A quick voltage check with a volt meter at the power leads on the main board will verify battery or xfmr supply voltage, if voltage is present then look in close proximity for an IC regulator and check for an output.

Casio LK 200 and smf software

If you have the smart card slot you can save your songs to the memory card by using Anvil Studio which is a free program. Save your midi song in Format 0 and be sure to use channel 4 for right hand playing and channel 3 for left hand. Be sure to keep the file size under 80k if you have other channels active for other instruments!

Data Transfer

Dear Fixya
I think the best way to solve this problem is to sell this keyboard and to buy myself a Yamaha which is more user fiendly. I am not prepared to buy any additional software or spend any extra money on this product in order to make it work. It is either suitable or not.
Thank you for your swift response however.

Casio Privia Px-110 digital piano won't turn on. I have tried replacing the AC adaptor but still nothing.

You should not be replacing an adapter on a guess. That could be checked in 15 seconds with a digital multimeter. Your issue is likely a dislodged connector inside. Remove connectors and then reconnect. ..

I have a casio x700 when using the fingerd options it stills plays the chord by pressing only one key.

Greetings, It sounds like you've pre-programmed a certain sound that is usually only triggered by multiple keys into one key. The most efficient way to return to the way that you're searching for might be to perform a factory reset on your device. But you should back up any data into a USB stick before you perform the reset as all data in the Casio device will be reset. Thank you.
