for improved performance out of these radios try stuffing some speaker insulation in both of the speaker cavities in the front . make sure you dont over do it so that the speakers install without the insulation hindering them resting flush on the mounting surface when you reinstall them. There is room around the sides inside the cavity for sufficient material.Use as much as you can without hindering reinstallation. I also took mine completely apart and added insulation to the subwoofer cavity, along the top which has divisions good for pieces of insulating material and near the woofer also a few more pieces where there was room for it.BIG difference .Most speaker cabinets have insulation to help control standing waves and cavity resonance and plastic cabinets will also benefit. When you put the screws for the front speakers back in make sure they are just snug without overdoing it.When you install the top to the bottom [only if you decide to do the main part with the subwoofer] make sure they are tightened all the way otherwise the top and the bottom will add resonance from not being securely anchored to each other ONLY TIGHTEN SCREWS WITH A HAND TOOL SO YOU DONT STRIP THE HOLES OUT !
