My Taylor we 1502 is showing HH in the outside relative indicator. How do I get it to recognize the outside relative humidity %? Thanks

If the outside temperature is currently displayed, there may not be anything wrong with the we 1502 sensor. The HH indicates that the outside relative humidity is above 95%; that is a limit of the sensor's detection/accuracy range. You could try moving your we 1502 sensor to a dryer area where it isn't exposed to rain/other falling water or wait until things dry out. I hope this helps. Please add a comment with the model for the base of your weather system for more information. The HH message applies to most Taylor weather systems. The manual for the Weather Guide Indoor/Outdor 1731 system is available here: http://ecx.images-amazon.com/images/I/71QBC5RdcNS.pdf . Cindy Wells

Our Taylor digital thermometer display is extremely dim and hard to read. It needs to be tilted just the right way. It is also lit but has the same problem. This has been since we bought it.

Change the batteries. LCD displays will appear very dim and hard to read except at certain angles is the batteries are low.

Reading of 200 degrees F when immersed in boiling water. IF I cover the boiling water then it goes to 210 or so but that is a problem as when making candy I do not have a lid on the pot. Can you help?

In vigorously boiling water, it should read 212 (at sea level) or a little less, depending on your elevation - lid on or not. Maybe the water wasn't boiling fast when you got the 200 reading. Make sure the probe tip is not touching the pot sides or bottom.

Replaced batteries, outsid temp. does not display

Base Station Battery Installation ·Remove the printed vinyl label from the LCD screen of the base station ·Position the remote sensor near the base station ·Open the battery compartment at the back of the base station and insert (2) AA batteries according to the polarity markings. Replace the battery compartment cover. ·Within a short time the RF signal icon (located to the left of the outdoor temperature channel indicator) will start flashing. This indicates that the base station is ready to pick up the RF outdoor temperature signal from the remote sensor. It will continue to flash for 3 minutes or until the signal from the remote sensor is detected. Register the Remote Sensor ·Open the battery compartment at the back of the remote sensor and slide the channel selector switch to your desired channel. For the first remote you may select any channel, for additional remotes select any unused channel ·Insert (2) AAA batteries according to the polarity markings. Be sure to install the batteries in the remote within the time that the RF signal icon is flashing on the base station. 1541 WeatherGuide Wireless Weather Forecaster with Barometer

Will one of the newer sensors work in place of my 1457 sensor?

It's possible that one of the newer sensors could work in place of your 1457 sensor, but it depends on the specifications of the newer sensors and the compatibility with your base unit. The I MAX1457 sensor, which is a highly integrated analog-sensor signal processor optimized for piezoresistive sensor calibration and compensation. However, I have no information about its compatibility. If you're looking for a replacement sensor, I suggest contacting the manufacturer of your base unit to inquire about compatible sensors. Alternatively, you can check the user manual of your base unit to see if it lists compatible sensors. Garage door opener sensors are not universal. Safety sensors can only communicate with garage door openers from the same brand.

Starrett Tape Measure. Can I Replace a 1.5 volt Battery with a 3.0 volt Battery in it?

Question edited for clarity. Question moved from Motorcycles category. Of course not! You will burn out all the electronic components. You can't just double the voltage. Conversely you can't put a 1.5 volt battery in place of a 3 volt one. Get the proper battery. https://www.starrett.com/contact-us# ..
