Caqn i put a 700Mhz Dell Pentium III in the same

No, you cannot exchange them. I was not able to determine what socket your notebook uses, but the 500 Mhz mobile Celeron was only available in two formats. One was Socket 495, which has no Pentium III processors available (only Celeron). The other is BGA2, which is not a socket at all, but is soldered onto the motherboard and is thus virtually unremovable.

Was working on my laptop and it shut down now it

I guess the problem is with your hard disk. The hard disk might have got corrupted because of some bad sectors or some virus. Try going for a XP reinstallation. That will almost fix your problem. If the problem still persists, Then am really sorry to say, you should go for a product replacement which is not advisable you may happen to lose the data in your old hard disk. The service center ppl will not care abt your data and they wont take backup for you as well. So try to go for XP reinstallation.

I have three seperate physical hard disks (c:, d:

okay you will need to put a boot record on the other drives see the boot record is on C to boot from D and so forth so what you can do is this from command prompt type is "sys mbr", if that does not work you will need to remount the drive using a disk manger software like spinright, and so forth or simply creating a bootable partition under disk admiistration under the control panel.

I hope this does help.

No boot sector on hard drive

FIXBOOT writes the "boot sector" to the specified partition.
FIXMBR repairs or replaces the master boot record of the disk.

You will also want to ensure that your partition is active, because Ghost will not make a partition active unless you do a sector-by-sector backup and complete restore.

Here's what to do...

Boot from the XP / 2000 CDROM and allow the setup to begin. Once the beginning files are copied, you will be asked to Install Windows or use the Recovery Console. Please choose "r" here, to run the recovery console.

You will now type in the following commands when the prompt appears:

chkdsk /f
* This will repair any obvious file system damage, which could complicate things.

* This will run the XP disk partition utility. We will be checking to see if your partition looks OK. If you see your partition, and the information diskpart provides appears correct, then that's a good thing. :)

Press [ESC] to exit Diskpart, when everything looks peachy.

* We'll write a new boot sector, so the computer knows how to boot the computer

* We'll write a new boot record, so the computer knows how to boot Windows

You should be taken care of. If it still does not work, you may need to delete your partition(s) using diskpart, then recreate the partition(s) (using diskpart, again).

No boot at all

could be a variety of hardware issues ... if you have a modem card remove it first ... leave the battery out as it is not required to operate the laptop as long as you have ac power ... leave all the ram chips out as most laptops have some ram built in ... remove the harddrive and any other internal drives ... also disconnect anything external ... network printers etc... after that yopu are into removing the keyboard and disconnecting the video ...but it gets a bit complicated if you have never worked on laptops before...

Display on laptop loose

Try tightening all the screws around the hinge area, if that is not the problem I am sure the actual hinges can be replaced for a fairly reasonable amount.
