My dell MTC2 does not
Hello,Yes the drivers are available for dell pcs online. You don't have to pay to download drivers. I can give you the download link provided you give me the correct model no. of this pc. I believe you have given me a serial code? Is this a Dell Dimension 2400 model? As for the dvd problem its a problem with the windows operating system you will have to do a repair installation of windows using the disc.Hope that helps!Thank you.
LED trouble lights
the led lights you see is actually a diagnostic light which has an equivalent meaning there should be actually 4 led lights you see is it a yellow green green green pattern and this is at the back of your computer? if that is the case it could be an indication that there is a device inside your computer that is malfunctioning. you will have to strip down your computer. remove all that is connected to the motherboard (hard drive, cdrom, memory, expansion card if any) disconnect the mouse, keyboard and monitor as well. should you hear a beep or the light changed at the back it means your motherboard is good and the absence of memory is being reported by the beeping sound. try to connect the device one by one
now if you are referring to the light at the dell logo infront it is just a monitoring light to indicate if your computer is turned on and the right side light is whether your hard disk is doing an activity

there is button at the rear top and rear buttom of the machine. press the button and swing open one side of the machine.
to get to the memories, you have to be very careful about the wiring, it is tight and not much space for you work in. do not lay the machine on its side,
Only have 7MB left on my 2400 Dell Desktop. How can I increase space?
Hi Anonymous - To increase space for storage you will need to either add another drive(maybe a jump drive or a similar one like you have my be found on Ebay?) to your machine or delete some files from the drive that only has 7mb left on it. You can delete some files by going to My Computer and selecting the Details view for that window. This will show you the size of your biggest files(might be pictures, music or unneeded programs) that could be deleted. Take a look at them and see if they are ones you would like to delete. The bigger the better. Right click and select delete while holding the Shift button. Be sure to empty your Recycle Bin and also your Temp files. You can type %Temp% in the Start search bar. Go to Edit/Select all and then File/Delete(holding Shift button down again) and that should clean out some. Just select skip if any come up with an option while deleting. Hope this helps. Thanks.
When start it ask for Type password
take the cover open and remove the (cmos) watch battery on the main board for about 30 seconds, replace it, this will reset the password.

Dell dimension setup fix
If you only changed the menu you should be able to change it back the same way. If important files have been deleted you may be able to sort it out with a repair disc other wise a complete reinstall may be required.

double check the cables at the back of the monitor if they're properly connected and also the other end of the monitor cable at the back of the computer make sure it is connected to the video card or graphics adapter
