Yes, as long as you have "Audio out" or even a headphone jack you can use any PC speakers. Find a set that includes a subwoofer, you will like the sound much better.

Reinstalled Windows 7 on Dell 5720 now have black border on display

connect an external monitor/tv/display and look at the patterns of the external display. If it's clean, that means your display is the one damaged. Reinstalling windows won't help at all. Try touching, moving, pulling, pushing the display from the top edges, and if you see any change on that border, you can tell the cause. Usually the cause of this black bands to appear are for miss using the opening or closing of the displays, that is, using one corner to open or close the screen. Hope that helps. Al
