You should be able to print the settings from the printer. Press the menu button and go to the reports and print the settings. 1. Remove the cartridge/s you have just installed and turn the printer off for 30 seconds. This resets your printer memory.
2. Check the copper banding on each of the cartridges. This is their contact chip and what communicates with the printer. Give them each a gentle wipe with a cloth to ensure they are clean and dust free.
3. Reinstall the cartridge to your machine.

Most likely it's because you moved the carriage off the capping station and a sensor is sensing the error.

If the print head is still on the left, turn the printer off and back on. If the print head is in its normal docking position, move it to the left and turn printer off and back on.

Things you should Check:

1. Check the basics first:Is the encoder attached and correctly routed through the optical sensor
2. Is the encoder strip clean - if there is a splodge on it, this will result in error
3. If you have done maintenance, check all the connections you made are good

00010004 Motor encoder check error

00010004 error relates to the encoder strip for the carriage motor (The encoder strip is like a piece of graph paper and the head has an eye that reads how many lines it passes). This is so the machine know exactly where the head is at any point

The error means that the machine is not correctly reading the encoder impulses. The encoder, eye or the circuit board may be broken even the cable could be faulty. It could be that you have done maintenance that one of the connectors has been replaced with incorrect polarity.

try using a damp lint free cloth and try cleaing the cartridge ****.
also if you go in to the printers and faxes and rt click the printer icon and goto properties you will find clean ink cartridge under maintenance.
try cleaning the ink cartridge using that

Hey I have had my printer for 6 years and have had the same problem. I had to manually clean it and It saved me a chunck of change. I mixed equal amounts of amonia, acohol and windex in a bottle then I set my printer on replacing the blades. Once it was positioned I turned it off and removed the plastice cover over the ink tubes. With gloves I unscrewed each color from the top. The ink will run back into the tanks but dont worry. be careful not to loose the small rubber seals inside these tubes.Place a paper towel folded under the ink heads where the paper is printed on. I had a small insulin syringer that I put fluid in and I gently pushed fluid into each ink hole. I did this several times before I got the inks to flow onto the towel and I let it sit for 20 minutes or so. I then screwed all the tubes back on each color. I removed the paper towel , restarted my printer and ran a full power cleaning. Dont be concerned like I was about the ink wasted because remember your inks flowed back into the tanks when the suction was broken. You must do the power cleaning to force the air out of the chambers and you waste very little. My printer runs like a champ the first print was awesome. It takes about 45 minutes so be patient and careful.

I have an Epson 4000 which I started using new in Sept 2004 and my magenta is clogged too. I've gone through 2 maintenance tanks trying to clear it, (and LOTS of ink), but the magenta is still blocked. The error relates to a carriage movement error detected by the printer. This means the printer has detected too much power is required ti move the print head. Reason : All these Service Requests (Service Requests 00010004 , 00010005, 00010006, 00010007, 0001000A, 0001000F, 0001001D) are related to a Carriage movement error that is not automatically due to a Hardware fault. The reasons can be : - The carriage is lock not completely released. - The carriage lock has been partially pushed in after a paper jam or maintenance (for example). Reminder : The carriage lock must be released after unpacking the printer (see setup instructions) as follow : Points to check : In case such an error appears: - Power off the printer. - Ensure the Carriage lock is released (pulled to the left side) - Pushing down the cutter blade, slide the carriage to the left ? At the same time, please check if there is any foreign materials / dust / paper jam in the carriage path. If so, remove them. - Also, make sure that the carriage encoder (T-Fence) isn?t dirty and is correctly set and centered. Let me know how you get on with this info.

Not really cordless wifi, you are connecting to the router or office network using a network cable. There would be ways around it using a powered wifi access point hub to the printer and use that to wirelessly connect to the router, but probably not cost effective. The error E-91 on an Epson Stylus RX 520 indicates a communication problem between the printer and the cartridge. Here are some steps you can try to resolve the issue:
