If the machiune thinks a cartridge is empty, the carriage will move all the way left and then return to the point where the offending catridge can be removed. If that doesnt work, start the machine doing anything to get the carriage away from the cleaning station and pull the power plug out. You can then manually move the carriage to where-ever you want.

Hello, Make sure you have paper in printer before printing. Turn off printer and make sure the usb cable is connected in back of printer and on the pc usb port. Power printer back up and printer should print , if it doesn't then you will have too cancel all print jobs and reboot pc and printer. Power printer up first then pc and printer should work.

Remove the cartridge (use the change cartridge facility in Properties/Advanced area of the printer dialogue box for Properties) and carefully wipe the gold chip contacts with a clean piece of cotton cloth (NOT microfibre!). Replace and try again. This can happen with both compatible and original Epson cartridges from time to time. if an original and it still does not get recognised, tape over the bottom outlet and the top area where you removed the piece of tape before installing and send back to Epson for replacement.
