If you were using T 443 & T444, you should use the same cartridges and if you use the wrong ones it would jam and cause serious damage. So be careful and use the correct cartridges. If you are not sure take the old cartridges and show them to the dealer and he will be happy to show you the correct ones!

try to go to epson support you can down load software there

1. Check whether power is on.
2. Remove and reconnect usb cable.
3. Reinstall the driver after uninstalling the old one.
4. Check whether the catridges are emptly or clogged and replace if necessary.

In the "Product Finder" box type your printer model number "Stylus C64" and click "Go."

Click on "Epson Stylus C64."

Click on "Drivers and Downloads."

the matter is that Epson, apart from the chips was invented so that when the printer takes a certain amount of printed pages (about 8000 or so, in most models), suddenly stops working , the two buttons start to flash and does not walk more.

This is because the ink that they will bring to the cartridges when cleaning heads, going somewhere.These are the waste ink tanks, this is where you stay, and the printer has a meter that estimates when the tank is full and stops the printer to prevent ink overflow and cause an internal short circuit.

How do I unlock it?

You could try a couple of things - firstly, check to see if there are any foreign objects stopping the cart from moving - this happens regularly, even lollie wrappers can stop it! I once found a comb in a printer!

Secondly, you could try unplugging the printer entirely, turn upside down and give a firm shake, this will assist in clearing debri.

Did you use Epson Genuine Cartridges? ALL…. Epson & Brother Requires Genuine Cartridges. !!!!!!!!
That sounds like your problem.

In Purchasing Epson's CX 5400, CX4600, & CX7400 and more, I found out that Epson does not like Generic Printer Cartridges. I also Purchased a Brother MFC-240C All-In-One InkJet Printer. That also does not like Generic Print Cartridges. Color that should be Yellow, will turn out Green, Blue Brown, etc.

These printers have a CHIP that will detect if it is Generic or Genuine. When they see it’s Generic Cartridges, it will print lines thru the words, stripes across the picture and also do a mix match with the colors. It also will not let you print anything, if only one of the cartridges is empty.

I wanted to print only Black, and would not let me, because I did not have any ink in one of my cyan cartridges. Go figure.

That's what these Companies do., so they can keep selling the ink cartridges. Some Printers, are able to use Generic, and some are refillable. Some you can refill them up yourself and I heard, quite MESSY.

So I learned, thru trial and error, that you must use the ORIGINAL Genuine Cartridges for these PRINTERS. Some people say some models work fine compatible, but not mine.......

I had to replace the printer, but Epson, Lexmark & Brothers are always on sale. My Brother & Epson cost me $50.00 with Rebate. .

IF YOU ARE USING GENERIC CARTRIDGES, MAYBE IT WOULD BE BETTER IF YOU DISABLE THE INK MONITOR.

This is the only advice I can give you.

Hi Yes you can try cleaning.

Ok it got to be the heads blockage
There is fluid cleaner for this but I can never find any in the shops the only ones I seen is when they sell them in Tesco but they come in with the ink refill bottles so I just use worm water by it self on a cloth and dabbing on the heads to clean them, it will not harm the heads but not to much water.

Some heads are on the inks them self but some have them inside the printer so I not know your printer so if the heads are inside you need to get them out you may find that some heads will just clip out put some need to be unscrewed so you got to know how they come out so be careful and not push to hard on them, if the heads are on the ink then it is a easy job to clean them,
It worth a try it worked for me more than ones.

I find by leaving the printer on stand -by it not use as much ink dont swich your priner off, because every time you swich in on it will star cleaning the heads on your printer and that will use lots of your ink up

Goto>start>setting>printer and faxes>select the printer>Right click it make it online and set as default printer.

is Ink dryed on print-head need to "clean heads" cicle, use a printer key (feed) pressed more of 5 sec, or printer driver as "Clean Heads icon"

If you just bought them then you should take it back and exchange it or if you filled them yourself read on below.

Most modern cartridges have an ink level chip built on to them.
Should the level drop below 25% then most of these chips lock up and will not reset. Cheaper replacement cartridges are quite prone to this chip failing completely rendering even a new cartridge effectivley useless

Re-filling them will have no effect

If you are lucky you should be able to find either a chip resetter around on the internet or maybe even local

OR

Even better empty cartridges that never need to be reset.

The second option is my preference
I realise these are not for your specific printer but there are others listed on both those sites as well

check the catridge or any paper is jamed in ur printer

A local printer repairer near me uses isopropyl alcohol to soak the print head in, which loosens up the dried ink.
Then he has a special empty ink tank, with a hole in the top.
He connects a syringe to his custom ink tank, then squirts liquid through the head, using pressure through the syringe (a tight fit is needed).
I have also heard of soaking in hot water and cleaning them with a toothbrush. Dry them thoroughly.
Alcohol swabs use isopropyl alcohol, but you need a bit more liquid than what's on a swab.
Sometimes it's easier to hang the expense and buy a new head.
